I'm watching Dr. Neal Barnard, on his diabetes talk on a podcast. Very good guy I like listening to. Salt, sugars, fats, oils, they are hard to let go at times, not just the animal products. But I do hope well worth it. So all Brian's hard work in the kitchen should be a great help to many people out there. I hope some day I can be able to cook again
How fun to rent an airbnb for filming cooking videos! I can NOT believe how much of your kitchen you brought. OMG I thought I packed a lot of kitchen stuff for trips. WOW! I also can't believe you guys drove all day and still had energy to go to Minneapolis for a concert. Hope it was a blast :)
Such a positive and light hearted video - thank you. I needed that. Looking forward to having a go at making bila fazolova, I remember making it in Poland as a polevka - a more runny soup ( goes a long way), I lived close to then Czechoslovakia and our cuisine blended a lot.
I loved this video so much. Just watching you guys makes me happy! I smiled all the way through. Can’t wait for the buffalo beans ‘n’ greens recipe - and, of course, all the other recipes you make in that awesome kitchen.
God Jessica you have great taste in music! Hoping you guys might want to do a recipe version of that eastern dish Brian was eating at full bowl! It all looked really good. Can’t wait for that salad video too! Looks perfect for work
I just viewed this video of your road trip. Cool beans! When it ended I looked up Inhaler. Believe it or not this 69 yr old liked the few songs that I listened to My Honest Face & It Won't Always Be Like This. I prefer the videos watching them perform, maybe that's because I've been married 45 yrs to a drummer. Yup! He played on the worship team at church & did a fantastic job.
Oh I go through Cedar Rapids all the time so I am definitely going to be checking out that restaurant especially if I can get it DoorDash or GrubHub or anything and I don’t know how she does the computer thing without getting carsick either
Good to see what you guys are up to . Look forward to seeing the videos. BTW , I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis. Edina right on the Minnehaha Creek . Beautiful and fun place to grow up . I'm in Virginia now. Also pretty here in Williamsburg. Lots of wonderful history. Come visit sometime ❤
Great video! Can't wait to see the recipe vids you guys recorded in that epic kitchen. I like goji berries and apples on my geocaching road trips Also, hummus and homemade whole wheat bread. I would love to try that Full Bowl restaurant! That looks super yummy!
There was a restaurant attached to the one we went to but we didn't check it out. Maybe next time we are near a Hy-vee we can see if it has any healthy options. 😀
Well done, you two! What a great idea renting that Air Bnb. So much content spawning from it as well. Can't wait for the rest of what's to come. (Oh yeah, one last thing, the background music was perfect for your trip too)
I appreciated your review of the Newbo market in Cedar Rapids. I learned about that market from a gal in the chat of one of Well Your World's Live Shows. That place is on my bucket list and is about a mile away from me. Also can't wait to see the recipes for the yummy looking muffin and the meal in a jar. Great Video!
I am looking forward to your recipes! I recently tried making your bean and pasta soup and it was SO good. I've made it 4 times now! Now I want to go on a road trip :)
I'm thinking about Jessica. And watching now. I'm in a depression and leave from job. Can't get into the md. For medication change until Aug 17 unless a prayer is answered. Ok God bless you two. Sue Illinois
Do either of you deal with body aches and pains, stiffness? Do you notice any difference with food impacting that? Do you ever feel more inflamed or worse from meat or eggs verses plants? Thanks for helping
I wouldn't say that we've had aches, pains, or stiffness. But we certainly do notice a difference with the way we feel depending on how we eat. Eating a standard American diet we feel worse. Eating WFPB we feel better. I know feeling is subjective but I hope this helps. 😀
Thank you for your response., I am hesitant to do something again that I didn't get good results from, but I'm trying to see if I can change things up enough to make a better difference. 😀 diet is so variable.
Technically you could throw the banana peel out the window because it is biodegradable. But I agree Jessica I’d have a bag for it as well. Looking forward to seeing all your new recipes in the fancy kitchen.
This video came out today. The rest of the videos we recorded on the trip will be coming out over the next few months. 😀 Also, check to see if you have notifications on for our channel (The bell button that is right next to the subscribe button).
Dehydrate your own apples. Easy, peasy, and cheaper. Don't eat to many. You would eat one, maybe two whole apples, but the dehydrated ones are so good you could end up eating way more. Too much fructose.
I am bummed. I have been not eating the best and now I'm diabetic with high blood pressure. I was so depressed. I had reversed diabetes once going plant based but i didn't stick to it not my activity
When I travel my snacks are healthy the same as I eat at home. Lot's of fresh fruits, raw veggies. I rather not eat packaged goods like kale chips or dehydrated fruits when I can eat fresh. Too calorie dense with dehydrated foods of course due to the lack of water content. But on the ranch dressing by Healthy span, it does call for nearly 2cups of macadamia nuts and oil. That's very calorie dense, so I would eliminate that completely. Kind of surprised that you both consume such high caloric foods.
The ranch dressing recipe we use is from The Healthspan Solution book by Ray Cronise - the recipe is not online anywhere to my knowledge. But it uses cashews and no oil! I just googled and I think the one you found online is a completely different recipe from a different group 🙂
@@KrocksInTheKitchen People sure like to give y’all advice, whether you asked for it or not. 😆 Remember, the best diet is the one you can stick to long-term and “perfection” seldom lasts. Personally, I like this slightly more relaxed version. Keep your eyes on the big picture and don’t sweat the small stuff. You’re doing awesome!
That is exactly what I was thinking. Lulu uses Fido Rido Always! I would have left STUFF behind before putting my family member in danger. NOT A HARD DECISION. What if it were a child you were taking along ?
Sorry but muffins and those bags of snacks is NOT eating whole foods. Those are all crap! Neither are those soups whole foods. Healthy whole food snacks on a road trip would be carrot and celery sticks, grapes, hard boiled eggs, etc.

What happened to Sunday and Wednesday uploads?
I too fall asleep with my glasses on, Jessica. It keeps my dreams in focus. Can't wait to see all the new recipes!
Man, I hope you went to Crave!
What a great kickoff to start the Airbnb video series. Really looking forward to all the cooking and hard work you guys put into your trip.

I recognize the oven that Brian baked his Eggy breakfast ❣
You guys are an inspiration to so many!!

That muffin looks perfect! I can hardly wait to make it.
What a fun series this is going to be!
That looks like such a great kitchen! It sort of reminds me of Sam's @ It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken. Beautiful esthetic!
Fun road trip! Can’t wait to see what you filmed
Hey! That's my clock!! Lol Can't wait for the salad recipe. It looks delicious! Heck, I can't wait for ALL the recipes.
Been so busy getting my garden started here in VA just got to watch this video, so excited to watch the next one on on your adventure.
What a fun trip
Can’t wait for the kitchen cooking videos and the recipes. The salad looks delicious.
Wow, what an ambitious project taking your whole kitchen, practically, to the beautiful AirB&B and making all those recipes.
“Brian did you really need to bring your entire spice cabinet?” “Yes....yes I did “
Kudos to you for going out to the show on such a long driving day!
Oliver is sooooo adorable! 🥰❤
Thank you so much for sharing your awesome trip 💓😊
I’m so excited for this series!!
I'm loving the 'salad in a jar' thing. Can't wait for some recipes!
And what a great looking AirBnb.
Love the salad in the mason jar idea 👍
What an awesome kitchen! That house must've been owned by a professional chef.
I cannot wait for the new recipes! Looking forward to more videos and healthy recipes to keep us all going!
Looking forward to the recipes !
This all looked so good. I can’t wait to try the Buffalo Bean recipe. My husband will really like that I think. He’s huge on Buffalo sauce and beans!

How cool, the opportunities you guys get to experience when taking on a new lifestyle as WFPB eaters! I love this video! PS- your dogs are SO cute!
Love the Newbo Market! So delicious!
April 18/2022 will be two whole years since I first started watching Krocks In The Kitchen videos. Been subbed too the channel since April 18/2020.

The Hy-vees in Iowa City had an amazing restaurant! Lots of healthy affordable options! That was pre-pandemic! Not sure what they’re like now!
There was a restaurant attached to the one we went to but we didn't check it out. Maybe next time we are near a Hy-vee we can see if it has any healthy options. 😀

Brian did a great job with the music selection 😁
Can't wait!

So inspiring, I love all your ideas and recipes. Thank you!
I was pretty impressed with Iowa (and South Dakota) on my cross country drive.
Watching for the first time! I'm from St. Louis as well and am looking forward to watching more to help me with WFPB eating ❤️
Oh yay! You should join us at the next Plant Powered St. Louis meeting!
@@KrocksInTheKitchen that would be great! Please let me know when it is. Thanks.
Thanks!
you guys are glowing!! :D
I want to go the “the Full Bowl!”
Just checked out Inhaler, they sound great.
And it’s Bono’s son..cool
Loved it💞Blessings 💕

Out of curiosity, have you guys ever tried Keto?
Nope. It never really had much appeal to us. But my dad eats a keto diet (for the most part)🙂

wonderful you are awsome i can´t wait to see you cooking love sybil
Wow that AirB&B was a real find. So frigging excited to see your episodes from this dream kitchen. God's speed! Standing by...👍🍜🥦🥗

You did it before, you can do it again. We're only human after all 🙋♀️
Woo Hoo!! ❤
I love ❤ Lara bars, but they are VERY high in fat.
Healthy fats*
Jessica, embrace your curls!
They don’t stay like that very long 😂 it’s pretty curly when wet but dries with just random waves.

I hit dislike meant like and changed it ... good video
Oliver does not look impressed, but he is cute....
It's hard to impress Oliver. 🤣
@@KrocksInTheKitchen I have an Ollie short for Olivia and she also is hard to impress, two speeds asleep and feed me.
Liked the video but the fast motion driving footage makes me car sick. I had to keep looking away. I wonder if this bothered anyone else?
The muffin had a dog hair in it L O L
As people with 2 super fluffy dogs, fur in food is just a part of life. 🤣🤣🤣
Too much?
Oliver's fucked if you have to stop fast or are involved in accident.
Yeah we normally have him in the back in his travel kennel but no space 😳😳

Those of us who have followed you for a while still can’t believe you aren’t thin as vegans...
You can still overeat vegan food or consume calorie-dense vegan food.
Just looking at Jessica it looks like she is eating a lot of calorie-dense food
