If you have a CR-V gen1 iBooster and don't want to use the remote reservoir, the direct mount reservoir from a 2014-2020 Mini Cooper fits with minor plastic trimming near the front inlet port. I remember my first car annihilated the catalytic converter and it got completely plugged up. So the exhaust gas with no where to go, went through the EGR and created positive pressure in the intake. I’m not sure which was more terrifying, my brakes going stiff, or the pedal going to the floor. Because Ford gave me both of those experiences.

I worked on the pre-assembly line of the motor unit during an internship a few years ago. Managed a project to drive the cycle time form 15s to 13s
Also did some supporting research for a "fast cure" process, you can see a little drop of glue between the motor and its ECU. Thats a UV activated glue, curing very fast but noch strong enough for the automotive environment. The "main" glue is actually deeper in the groove and all the way around, attaching the motor to the ECU and sealing the connection from the elements. The main glue needed this giant oven to cure in a reasonable time, but couldnt speed up anymore. So there was this idea to use the UV glue to fix it in place, withstand the forces of the production line and allow the main glue to cure over time.
Never knew if they completed that project so super cool to see :)

I work in a automotive reseatch facility and we have found that the Prius Prime and the 2019 and newer Chevy bolts use brake by wire. The boosters are set up pretty much the same. The cool thing is when the car is going to auto brake mode and you don't press the pedal the electric motor still pushes forward on the real master cylinder slow the car down. The same is also true for one pedal driving mode. As you let off the accelerator and it starts to come to the point regenerative braking is not strong enough to slow the car it will use the motor in the booster to applied mechanical brakes to bring the car to a complete stop. In the event the braking system failed they have a mechanical backup that you show in the video during tear down to still stop the car. For the company I work for we do Dyno testing and is completely automated using electrical input to the throttle pedal and now the brake pedal so we can effectively stopped the car and speed up the car from a computer by tapping into the brake by wire and drive-by-wire systems.

It started as a car video and ended as a stand-up comedy. Absolutely hilarious!😂

Great vid... don't know why you don't have more subs. Of all the channels I subscribe to, this is the first I watch when new content arrives. Can't wait for the next one.

Love the “high concept” CZcams humor. Introducing your Mitch at the end of this video is pretty genius, but you probably already knew that.
Thanks for the info and entertainment.

You are hilarious and a bloody genius.. I've been a licensed technician for over 47 year's and worked on literally all vehicles , motorcycles, boat's and air crafts and I am thoroughly impressed by your research and ingenuity.. you look at a situation, dissect it, research it and Bada Bing,, Bada boom.. those who complain are obviously no nothing and waiting for your results, but can't be bothered to understand it first. Keep up the great work.. love you went back to the beginning..😅😂

Thank you for the tip on the 2018+ Honda Accord brake booster. I got a Gen 2 Bosch iBooster complete off ebay for $157 shipped. This will make my 1955 GMC pickup MUCH safer! So thank you! ❤️
