In the video you can also see (although not recommended) I have made some modifications of my own to fix a certain needs. Hope this video can be helpful to be more informed before making purchase decision.

I smiled as you used an old traditional wrapping to correct a shortcoming in a modern design.
Yea! The grip was really grindy
Awesome videos. You have such a chill vibe, and I always enjoy learning the things you show/demonstrate.
Thank you 🙏 I hope to show more soon, need to commit the time to create something more educational
I'm DEFINITELY into a traditional katana. But I love your take on the tactical style
Haha its my only current option to get a daisho set so thought why not? Seeing theres alot of video about the tactical honshu, maybe i may grow to like a westerners take of a katana 😁
Man - the tactical design does look pretty good...it's almost GIJoe snake eyes
I know right?
Excellent! Excellent video. Thank you for your insight and knowledge. It is very helpful. I have subscribed.
Thank you 🙏 hope you enjoy the rest of my videos
These are cool looking designs for the sword also amazing video 🙌🏾
Aesthetically it look pretty cool, unfortunately i had to make some modifications to get it to work for me
Amen
🙏🙏
I like hearing your on these tactical katana,I did same and modified the handles as well with sageo crod i ordered to make work for me. Great video sir I enjoy your content.
thank you! i guess im not the only one with soft baby skin on my palms hehe
Good looking sword but as you said not suited for Iaido. I would suspect that the sword would fatigue the practitioner due to the weight and may even cause muscle strain. I think its a good sword to have for cutting as I have noticed that people who practice cutting tend to use heavier swords. Thank you for the review.
thanks! it's also unfortuante it didnt come very sharp - so even cutting is rather difficult - atleast in my experiance
I have the set also,
great looking swords.
I agree with the katana being just a little 2 heavy.
only the set I recently bought are not sharp at all.
What’s the best way to sharpen these swords?
I read somewhere that it can be done with a sharpener called accusharp.
But that kinda raised my eyebrows a bit.
For kitchen knives ok, but for this awesome set???
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Best to bring it to some professional sharpener - especially for bigger blades. I should do that too
I actually loved the blades themselves. I'm a large, 200 lb guy at about 5 ft 10 with a lot of muscle in my upper back and legs.
The issue I had was similar as far as the rubber hilt. I hate that design. And the pommel was just awkward for me. I'm sure if it was based more on eastern European swords, it'd be fine design wise, but I'm not used to polish sabers. And the other issue is that with heavy usage, the pommel will actually fall off when using proper techniques. Definitely did not know the damage a pinky can actually do. 😅. So I'm in the process of changing the hilt. Thinking about using oak, wrapping it in leather and using paracord to wrap it.
Oh the Saya is crap. Almost cut off a finger because the kirigata fell off suddenly. Looking at alternatives there too.
With some modifications, they are serviceable weapons.
Haha with abit of DIY wizardry it might actually be a decent blade
How do you tie the obi belt? ( apologies if I got the name wrong)
There are a number of ways but my way I more informal and simple, u can check my other videos - it's somewhere in the channel 😅
Never been a fan of the tactical style swords, nonetheless thanks for sharing!
No worries 😁 thanks for watching, more traditional things coming soon
The blade is way too long on the katana. Wakazashi is ideal for a modern ninja cosplay, though.
Yea even the wali felt a tiny bit long
I'd like to think of this sword as a western saber that looks similar to a Japanese katana. AAAAAAaaaa! Cultural appropriation! 🤣
hahahaha it might just be true 😬
