My father was the head of the Welding Department at Spartanburg Technical College in my hometown, for many years. He always said most of his best welders were women. Very detailed oriented. He told me he had this one lady that was so good that her beads almost looked like a machine had welded them!
Women tend to be better at detail work that requires hand dexterity. Traditionally that would be cloth making and food processing, but it applies to things like Welding as well.

It would be cool. If they made it that size. But instead of the inside heavy medal. Make the inside empty. To be used as a storage room. Like minecraft. Living inside thor hammer.
I did some calculations based on the dimensions of Mjolnir, if this giant hammer were to be filled with lead, it would weigh around it 32 tons, around 30 tons of lead (5 m^3) the steel alone weighs around 2 tons.
The amount of effort and time and money it takes for a project like this to come to life is monumental and it must be so satisfying to finally see it completed. Great job, folks

Its hard enough to wield mjolnir but its even harder to weld it. All of you are worthy
You needed to weld the outside surfaces with low-silica wire. We use it on pipe hand railing that gets hot dipped so that the silica in normal E70x weld wire that makes that extra buildup doesn’t happen lol

When you're finished using it, you must bury it with some elaborate metrics, like a perfect 60 feet deep on a 60* angle, pointing 60* off of facing true North and each line on the hammer being perfectly aligned with some star formation just to mess with future archeologists.

I was curious how much it would weigh if it was filled with lead, so I looked it up.
Based on the 700 gallons of volume and lead weighing roughly 150 pounds per gallon, this hammer would weigh:
105000 pounds, or 47627.3 kilograms. That's 47.6 tonnes!

They should of made a actual hammer instead of just welded sheet metal with a pipe sticking out, probably would have been cheaper as well
With price of lead around 2k$ per ton, it would cost them a bit less than 100k. So only twice the actual budget.
I guess the biggest issue would be how to transport that 50 ton monstrosity. And they'd need a bigger crane.

At first i was thinking that's it's small and that you can make a bigger one, but only after i saw all the hard work that was put to this i realized how big this hammer is.
My guess was 2 metric tons, and it was 2.015 metric tons!
