Beautiful and inspiring as always! My Nana and Pop immigrated from Norway to New York. My Uncle’s family stills lives on Long Island but we moved to colorful Colorado, a beautiful mountainous state in its own right. I can not express my gratitude strongly enough to display how much the imagery you capture moves me! Not only do I get to explore in part the amazing far flung corners of Norway but because of the perspective Gunstein helps you capture even if I was there cycling next to you I would not see. The grand sweep of a bird’s-eye view of a sweeping vista with moody weather and the scale inserted with a small human looking out. Tusen takk! For a person who has never been to Norway I could not have found a better guide!

I believe the story goes that the mountain ended up looking as it did because it was the hat of a troll, that another troll shot an arrow through. Your cave explanation makes a little more sense, would be interesting to know when people started realizing that was how it happened. Fun fact, as late as the 1800s, we still believed that erratics (those mysterious lone boulders in the middle of fields, far from mountainsides, that ended there by being dragged underneath moving glaciers) were put there by trolls.

Had a pretty bad day today (election in my hometown largely went to environment-unfriendly populists), so I think I'll unwind with this video❤. Calm delivery and beautiful nature shots.

Great video, good on you for getting Vegvesenet involved with you! Norway would be every cyclist's dream destination if we had the infrastructure and backing needed. Riding here is perilous at times due to traffic and tunnels, with most alternative passes being utterly dilapidated and dangerous, sometimes even impassable, as you have mentioned in other videos. Hope you one day get to spend some more time in Jæren & Rogaland. I think it is the most beautiful place on earth, yet for now, a hidden gem (aside from the Preikestolen hike). I'd love to see Gloppedalsura or Skykula on film! Cheers.

Marvelous! How do you manage to visit a spot like Torghatten without any other people? At 5 o clock in the morning 😂? Would like to go on this trip right away but have to wait until next year.... Thanks for those videos of yours!

I love watching your videos, they're superb, and I'm planning a cycling trip to Norway myself. One bit of feedback I'd like to give you is that it is really difficult to hear your voice over the background music you play. You have a very low quiet voice and the music is too loud over the top if it. I struggle and keep having to rewind to catch what you're saying. Maybe trim the music down, or cut out a lot of it while you are narrating. I'll be watching most of your films. Thank you.

@@matthewnorway lol, when you say you 'tried', I have an image of a buried MatthewNorway vlog where you try to cycle a route without a gun and get chased back to town by an angry polar bear :p
