If it would've been Man City or any other English team beating Barcelona like that, then the whole English media would talk about how great this team is and that it has to be the best team in the world right now. But when Bayern destroys a top club, which they do on regular basis, then they just talk about how bad their opponent was, that they weren't in a good shape or that the team was too young and too inexperienced etc. Show them some respect. Even if those clubs weren't at their top form, there is no club in the world being able to pull out such wins against Tottenham, Chelsea and Barcelona, especially not in a row.

They need a new and fresh rebuild with a new system adopted.
Collective Teamplay is the future once again not a one man show. Like Liverpool in example or Bayern.
They should focus on their own Academy or buy young players who fit the new system and understand the Barca mentality.

He broke the assists record this season didn't he in la liga he works damn hard for that team more so because eveyone else isnt good enough. he needs probably 9 new teammates, ones who can defend, ones who can dominate the midfield, one who can set up goals and others who can score. This will take a lot of weight off his shoulders. They need to get back to being a great team with the added bonus of having possibly the best player on the planet to make them even greater. German players are always so underrated. If a german plays in the Bundesliga and is world class his value would be around 50 million. If he would be the exact same player but french brazilian english spanish argentinian (u get the idea) or played for an english Club bis networth would be well over 100 million. For example i cant get over how sb like griezman is supposed to be 2x as expensive as sb like gnabry.

Barca needs to rebuild this team entirely or invest completely into the players they have now and focus on building on their youth and the experience and chemistry they'll gain over the next 3 or 4 years. Either way Messi is too old to gain much from either option. He should really consider leaving, except he wants to stay loyal to the club and doesn't really care how his career ends just as long as he stays loyal to Barcelona. I'd respect him for that

  • @jsb7586

Messi can be offered one-year contracts from now on, like with Robben and Ribéry at this age. Piqué, Busquets, Alba, Griezmann, Dembele, Suarez, Vidal and Rakitic need to go. Then you can build a new team around de Jong maybe. Two or three years down the line, you can compete again.

Pace and power up is the new style in football. Barcelona in particular and La liga in general are not adapting to it and thus have started failing little by little since 2019. If Barcelona needs to counter it then they will have to revamp their entire defense. Find good couple of defensive midfield and to stop the leak then find another Messi, Ronaldinho or Naymar.
