This is a perfect example of how to enjoy a car without beating the hell out of it. 👍the sounds that come out of that car are wonderful. When people say this is a once in a life time trip. This moment is what they mean. You testing and enjoying one of the most elusive cars in the world. Thank you for taking the trip and sharing this with us.
For sure and thank you!
the scenery and the cars are so surreal you could have told me this was the new NFS game and i probably wouldve believed you
First! Yeeeaaaahhhhh...... Nobody said I couldn't win on my own video! :) Hope you guys enjoy the blast up up the mountain!
Is that cheating? I feel like it might be.
Insane production quality props to you and the people at w motors for doing this
I have been on some pretty amazing roads in my time but i have to say... "was this as good as it looks"? The scenes , breath taking...! pinch yourself moment right..
Honestly even better! Was truly incredible.
Beautiful exotic cars aside, I'm just jealous at how amazing that road is. I would love to drive anything there. This really makes me want to get out of the Midwest even more.
Would've been interesting for you to get a draggy to test the 0-60 and quarter mile times and all that good stuff.
I think there's still a track video coming.
Absolute hooniage on that nice road love it
So from 14:05 the car sound as though it is on a much better map though the difficulty getting the engine management to 'boot' just proves the point that It is a poorly developed 'kit car'!
And more importantly I don't understand why You would destroy Your reputation to defend this obviously Sub par car?
The rear aero is very unique. Never seen anything quite like it. I'd be curious to know if you can feel the difference in handling when that activates.
This Drive Reminds Me Of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 Amazing Car And Beautiful Roads The Fenyr Is Just Amazing And It Sounds Amazing Too Waiting For The Track Video
That game is one of a handful that got me into cars as a kid. I definitely see what you mean.
@@FUNKOfilms Absolutely This And Gran Turismo 4 And Midnight Club 3 These Are The Games That Made Me Fall In Love With Cars
@@انا_ابراهيم_البناوي Midnight Club 3 sealed the deal for me. Even if my middle school self had worse taste than the average Fast and Furious driver. Lol.
Does that Fenyr have a PDK in it? I'm surprised by how delayed the shifts were (compared to Porsche's own PDK equipped cars).
Is it a PDK since it's basically a Porsche?
Sounds slower than PDK
The Lykan was based off of a Ruf which is barely still a Porsche to begin with. I'm not sure about the Fenyr's origins but I'm guessing it's similar.
@@JV8901 It’s a PDK just with f’d up programming!
Shout out to my favorite racing game of all time for nostalga purposes lol. Need for Speed 2 was amazing and this does look straight out of one of their courses lol!
That road was EPIC! What a day to remember, Casey!
Great stuff! The Fenyr with that sequential shifter still seems more compelling to me.
Or do I have their names switched? 🤷♂️
@@KnifeNutsPodcast The Lycan (white) has the sequential with clutch pedal. The Fenyr (blue) has an automatic with paddle shift.
"Two peddles on this one, okay Casey reprogram brain" lmao
Hey, it can be harder than you would think. I can't tell you how many times I've transitioned from my summer car to my winter beater only to have my left foot hit air on starting the car. Every time I just think, "Oh yeah, this one's boring".
Wow...thanks for this great Christmas present, Casey.
Any time!
Why does it sound like a Honda Civic?
That road, damn...
It's just me or those shifts where a bit sluggish ?!?
He mentioned it. It's a preproduction paddle shift issue.
Th little snap and "except for the dust" comment answered my question about the surface. It looks like the surface of another planet in the distance....
Probably not too different from where Star Wars shot Tatooine.
I’d be so impressed by this... if W motors was real
Lol, more videos incoming
@@CaseyPutsch Can’t wait. I’ll make sure to ring the notification bell
You're watching real cars.
Have we gotten actual performance numbers yet?? All I see is driving, but no numbers.
The sound is amazing, is the lock/unlock the cheat code to restart the screens??
Nice driving 👍
This is incredible
Awesome! Did you see any sport bikes on the road?
Unbelievable! If it wasn't for your short msg I never would have seen this. Nothing in the feed. Frackin algorithm. What an epic rip over the mountains. Perfect.
Yeah, the Algo screwed me on this series….
@@CaseyPutsch They seriously suck. The whole manipulation thing is outta control. They want clickbait and controversy. I've lost dozens of channels because I couldn't care less about clickbait or drama. I want clean informative content with a side of personality. You do it right bud. Great stuff!
Class!
My only complaint is the audio but that looks like one cool ride. 👍
Glad you had fun. 😁
What a road! That dust clearly made it a little sketchy in the corners though. Car looked like it was understeering under brakes or in the slide.
That cockpit camera is dope
It records in 360 degrees
At 14:36 when the film speed switched from normal to mid speed, I thought for 2 seconds that she had kicked out on you.
All I could think was, this is going to be interesting.
Lmao
You know he's getting it when that Wing pops up
What a hill! Love everything about that car.
Hold on... Why aren't your videos blowing up? I really think you should be getting a lot more viewers... maybe even worth hiring someone to help you unlock the next level, but hey, looks like you're having a lot of fun, so way to go my dude!
So, no cooling issue for the Lykan following you after drive hard going up hill for 10th of minutes in the temperature of Dubai :D I guess you just proved Donut wrong that car can be cooled efficiently ;)
Great picture, great editing, great production quality, congratulation ! Thank you and W motors for making this possible !
@@flowseidon13 Not cooling issue, come on be honest it was the heat shield that went undone and went in contact with the Exhaust line on the first prototype (not even a production Lykan) The car did not overheat, Casey explain clearly what happened in his last interview with ed Bolian.
Try to drive hard another supercar in Deathvalley on emigrant Canyon Road and see how it "doesn't" overheat lol
To me it looks like these cars are real one question is the engine a flat 6
Great video. Still haven't figured out how that camera mount works. Great shots
It's a 360 camera. It's recording all angles at all times. When it "moves" to show different angles that's all in the editing.
Actually, I wonder if this video is available in VR. That would be amazing.
@@FUNKOfilms very cool of you to explain. I looked up 360 cameras, neet tech. I was thinking it was a controlled servo mount remote controlled. I am old and out of touch.
@@johnnycampbell3422 Well to be fair, 360 cameras are still pretty new. It's crazy tech to think about even for a dirty millennial like me
Casey what camera do you use?
It’s a 360 camera recording in 360 degrees. The “movement” is done in the edit
The car looks like it just wants to go! Will be amazing to see it run in production spec.
I like the lykan better I just think it would look better in that blue
That scenery is beautiful I don’t think I’d be able to keep my eyes on the road. That blue really pops on that car.
What's that music during the time lapse at the end Casey? I really like it.
Check the description tag, it's got the songs list at the bottom. Music is free open source from CZcams's audio library
@@danielseelye6005 Thanks man, didn't think of checking the description, honestly wish more CZcamsrs would put the music they use down there.
@@garyhogan9150 I think the Algorithm will autofill the info, at least for the ones pulled from their library or those identified by the Music companies so they can get all the ad revenue.
That road is good enough to be a middle eastern Pikes Peak......
Honestly, I feel like it put Pikes Peak to shame.
Wow!!!!!!
Don't worry, my first thought was Amish buggy too lol
If they didn't pull loads of timing out of that before you drove it I'm deaf?
Did you add 'the dash is stuck, no boot, verking nicht, kaput' comment for me Casey Putch? Is the dash shit? Or is the car just not that fast?
What are you talking about?
Not that fast software is not working nothing is even half way done!
Flats or a track are about the only places I'd feel safe driving like that.
There's something about mountain roads that is equally terrifying and exhilarating.
Would you believe I was holding back?
@@CaseyPutsch Yes, when I saw the car slip in that dust cloud before the turn, I had to put my phone down but still wanted to give your video the full view, occasionally glancing at it, but those turns, I couldn't do it, coming in what appeared to be super hot, on the brink of losing grip, had my heart rate up. Something about super rare cars going fast freaks me out. I'd be that guy how'd buy something like that and never drive, let alone let anyone near it, roped off. But some mass produced vehicle with a lot of power, I'd beat it till it broke.
Hey is it you in Mr.JWWs video called "The Greatest Road Ever Built Is A Dead End"
I think so
Funny I don't see any haters when you push the car up a mountain... quiet comical actually
Don’t worry I’m here😉
ask and the trash has arrived, matt there is all over the comments hatting saying W Motors isnt real ext
@@flowseidon13 o finally a hater I assume... am I correct?
@@0Heeroyuy01 accurate observation my guy. Glad to see the good word is spreading. Here’s your daily reminder that W motors is fictional
@@mattman460 Or you've just fallen prey to fake news.
Maybe I missed it but has Casey ever explained why Lykan offered this experience to him? I am a subscriber, but I’m mystified as to why he was chosen. This is a channel of real enthusiasts (a positive) but its very small (a negative).
Because I am qualified to drive a car of this performance level and I tell the truth over sensationalism.
If they ever conduct a hill climb race on that road , it Should be known as the Sheik's peak Hill climb
Epic drive! But I gotta ask out of curiosity, did you s**** your pants at 5:41?
How very special.
Despite arguing with donut media's video. You still haven't put up any actual data of the car's performance. I'm not expecting it to be the world's fastest car in any way but this whole aspect of hiding even the testing numbers doesn't sit well with someone who knows anything about cars.
What NFS can’t give from there past:
Just finished watching donut's video, and from the looks of it, they could have easily emailed W motors to clarify a few things before making it...but that would have resulted in no video. Respect for making this happen Casey!
seriously looks like video game in beginning
I keep trying to use my TrackIR to look around at the landscape and then remembering this is onboard footage and not a sim lol
If you had 2mil to buy a new car would you get one That’s the question.
Love the Middle East (other than Israel sorry my fellow Yehudim) is that they don't GAF about "speeding".
If You are not going to comment on the tuning of the Fenyr then I have no respect for you?
Sounds liike an out of tune flat six Porche and looks slow!!
