I was expecting ronald koeman there as well he was an amazing defender and a prolific goalscorer as well definitely not the greatest but atleast deserved a mention for sure
And went to real Madrid then faded away into history

Easily! And my personal favourite Real Madrid player of the 2010s. Not a good defender though, certainly nowhere near one of the best. Amazing attacking full-back.

Mine, 'Nemanija Vidic' CB wise. I'm a Liverpool supporter & I saw a comparably less skilled Man United won 2008/09 Premier League because they have Vidic at the back against a good Liverpool team consisting Torres & Gerrard.
It's normal when strikers, wingers or midfielders become the difference when teams dominate a season but a CB🤔. 👌
As a smaller less physical right wing defender myself Lahm was always my idol. His sliding tackles are/were the best and I always tried to copy them

Dani Alves shouldn’t have been an honorable mention in my opinion. Bro was one of the only defenders who could stop and tackle PRIME Ronaldo successfully (the same guy who destroyed many defenders at his time with his lightning pace, tall body, and great physique and is Messi’s strongest rival). I’m a Madrid fan, and I don’t respect him as a person because of the recent crime he’s been arrested for, but even I would say he’s the best RB football had (no offense to Cafu fans).

One that also deserves to be mentioned is Rafael Marquez! Him and Puyol in the center were a wall at Barcelona! Rafa is easily the best center back that México has ever produced! One of my favorite players too.

Something i dont understand is that defenders, especially fullbacks, arent even considered in top 10 football players of all time lists. Being a good fullback is much harder than being a striker and i feel like if the best defenders played and practiced playing attacking positions they would be considered top players
This video should be done by position like top ten best CB because there is alot better defenders that's missing off this list cannavaro and stam and then have a LB & RB video with Zanetti, Cole, evra, Alberto, thuram some may even say Gary Neville.. I'm sure you'll do it justice and a great job.

No Oscar Ruggeri? World Cup winner 1986 and the key element of the 1990 Argentina squad that reached the World Cup Final. Also a member of Copa America championship team 1991. He should be on the list. Maradona himself said that he's the best South American defender of all time. Otherwise... good list.

I think that Beckenbauer was an exceptional player, he can play almost in every position, he was a good passer and dribbler. but, He wouldn't be that good in the modern era of football, but no doubt he was one of the greatest of all time.
