I litterally had a haurt attack but at the same time I am sad bf3 on ps3 will be gone I wanted to play it again for the memories
I'm guessing they'll go after Battlefield 1 once they're done with BF3, BF4 and Hardline...
Truly the worst timeline to live in.
I'm guessing that will be at the end of this decade since all games have made it till 10 years so we should be safe until 2027
When bf3 is shut down on pc ppl will just jump over to Venice unleashed. And on pc I don't think ea can shut down bf4 since most of the servers are community run.
Is BF4 on pc still populated? I still play BF3
@BeyondtheIights ye bf4 is still very populated. Bf3 less so with maybe 10 full servers.
I still play bc2 which can still be played by a mod since ea shut that down.
Bc2 has like 3 or 4 full servers

Tbh, I think bf4 might get shut down later than we expect since bf4 can still be playable on ps5 unlike bc2 and bf3
BF3 still has 4 full servers on Xbox left (2 are metro 24/7 tho)
These games are my favorite FPS's ever. BF3 was the start of my Battlefield Journey. What's going to be sadder is the removal of Bad Company 1 and 2.
If dice is going to shut down bf3 then just do a remastered with the same campaign just copy and paste it then ya know. I’m also glad they didn’t shut down bf4 for PS4

I used to play BF3 all the time on 360 back in the day, BF3 is still more active than BC2 was on Xbox, disappointing but not surprising.

man i still sometimes play bf4 to this day it would kill me to see it close down...
but there is a server browser, and players should still play on rented servers after turning off DICE servers

Wait, how can they shut down Xbox 360/PS3 servers but keep up the Xbox One and PS4 servers or will they also be shut down since they play via Backwards compatibility?

4 full servers daily on Xbox, 2 of them are Metro 24/7 servers though; so there’s about 100 active players daily left

Right now I emulate the ps2 version of battlefield 2 modern combat on my xbox series X because EA killed it off in 2012, but it got revived last year. We have people playing it on pc, original ps2s xboxes and even a few on steam decks. I hope one day these other bf games get saved, but not likely.
Surely if they're eventually shutting down BF3 and BF4, they need to have modern reworks of them as they're the most popular titles in the franchise.

@@DANNYonPC bf3 on xbox is infested with the lowest life forms. 10/9 server owners are badmins who kick/ban better players. Team stackers, noobs who accuse you of hacks if you are skilled and literally the worst no hands players you will ever see. Its a good thing bf3 will be dead on xbox.
Gonna be a sad day when hardline and 4 go offline oh well atleast I'll be able to play the campaign the hardline one is still awsome
PC will probably have it's own community servers even after EA pulls them off the shelves.

cod1 is still for sale and playable :p
