Congrats man, I normally run XC but it's my first year of indoor track as a sophomore. Sadly I haven't broke 6:00 and I kinda switched to mid-distance for track so I run the 400 and 800 but they're back to back so I'm tryna run a 2:30 800.
I went from a 6 minute mile to a 5:22 in a year sophmore year so you can expect big things bud. Just keep training and get some 2 or 3 mile workouts in.
Fr I’m kinda a crazy person so I run a lot and I’ve been running since I was 11 and in 7th grade I ran a 4:56 but I remember my first time breaking six and it was amazing
My friends when they were in sixth grade they could run a 5:30 minute mile 💀 then there was me running a 7:00 minute mile 😭

I’m at 6:10 right now but tommorow I have a meet and I have to break 6 minutes to qualify and by the way I’m in 7th grade
In 6th grade I ran a 10 minute mile, didn’t start running until XC sophomore year
