That's pretty scary that flooding that severe can happen so fast. Sounds like it caught everyone off guard. Hope everyone's okay.

I guess nobody told them their street was built over Coopers Creek. With the sudden amount of rain, the creek swelled and pooled in that nice cul de sac like a swimming pool. Probably clogged up drainage somewhere. According to the map that creek also runs under Coopers Creek Pl and 2 areas of Coopers Creek Dr.

There poor people. Awful circumstance. It's a good reminder to get a "to go" bag with meds, pet carrier & supplies, personal documents, etc.
    Be safe out there!

Maybe it use to be a creek, that’s why they called the road creek. so when nature does what she do, she can turn it back to a creek

Ppl probably have been stuffing trash and lawn clipping in the drains clogging it up. I've seen ppl in my neighborhood who are renting houses stuffing trash in the water drains. I don't know why they can't put it in THEIR trashcans. It's like a few step away. Instead they stuff in the drains. Then they wonder why their street is flooded 😵‍💫
