My contract hours are 8:00am--2:50pm. Our meetings and professional development/office hours for parents are from 8:00am---8:30am.
Most leave at 2:50pm. We never, ever have early release days!
A scarce few stay late. I work in NYC.
I am so very happy to see you back! I have missed you.
    You are glowing!

I think actual contract hours are 7:25-3:15 but as a special ed teacher I have to be at school by 7:00 because we get our students off the bus at 7:05. because of this we can leave at 3:05. We have grade level meetings every Tuesday from 3-4. Once a month staff meeting 3-4 on Wednesdays and once a month academic meetings 3-4 ( I think they are called PL"s now not sure) And I have to schedule IEP ( individual Education Plan) meetings all throughout the year in the afternoons so they usually start at 3 and I have been lucky so far not to go over 4 with these. We have a few half days built in throughout the year for the kiddos. ( About 3)

I teach middle school and our contract hours are 8:25-4:10. We don’t have full staff meetings just team meetings on Wednesdays during our planning time. We usually have full staff meetings on early release days or teacher work days.

Great to see you back! I teach high school. Teacher hours are 7:20 - 2:50. We have faculty meetings once a month. They last an hour. The principal keeps tab on the time and makes sure it is never longer than an hour. Years ago we had early release. But those days are LONG gone. I am glad though. Early Release days were meant for PDD. I'd rather just be with the kids. LOL I think WE are all LOVING Friday's now. It's been a crazy year so far. Again, GLAD to see you back!

Hola Fernanda! So happy to see you! You look so beautiful with your pansita! Felicidades! I have been a fan since you did makeup videos and then teaching. Your first year was so adorable! I have been teaching for 35 years now, and have had my hardest year yet, this year so far. It is hard now with all that is going on in our world. The children are having great difficulty emotionally and socially. Self regulation for them seems to be very difficult for them. I think our profession is going through some very difficult transitions that need to be made and that we are on the edge of some major shifts in the teaching profession. Things need to improve for teachers or people will not enter the profession. I pray that young teachers like you and my daughter will have better working conditions and the support needed to make our job as a teacher more enjoyable. My daughter is 20 and in her junior year, I see all the changes coming down the road and her enthusiasm for what we do everyday as teachers. I have hope for the future. My work hours are from 8:00 to 2:45. We have a staff meeting every Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:00. We have a minimum day every Thursday, dismissal is at 1:05 on this day. We have no aides. I teach kinder and the schedule for the kids is 8:15 (1/2 the class AM group), then the other 1/2 (PM group) comes in at 9:15. We teach until 11:35, lunch, at which time AM group goes home. At 12:15 PM group comes in and is dismissed at 1:15. I have prep the rest of the afternoon, which I would gladly give up an hour, for extra time to teach. It is not enough time to to teach all that needs to be taught. 💁🏼‍♀️I wish you the best mija ! Cuidate mucho💕

    So happy you are back!
I teach in Kentucky, we have 1-2 early releases each month, for meetings, report cards, conferences, etc.
    My contract time is 7:20-2:50.

  • @Brittanythediaryofateacher

So good to see you! I just had my first child in August. Teaching in the third trimester is tough, so give yourself grace.
We have one early release the last Friday of the month. We also have one staff meeting a month but in the morning from 8:45-8-20ish

My contract hours are 7:15-2:45 and we have students from 7:40-2:30. When we have staff meetings we have them before kids get there so we lose prep time, that’s almost every Friday. Aaaand they also took away our early releases! We only have them for parent teacher conferences. Saludos! ☺️✨

At my district, we do staff meetings twice a month. Are normal contract hrs are from 8:40-3:50. Staff meetings are in the morning from 7:45-8:40. Also, I have never heard of early release days. We have one day every other month where students have a half day, but teachers stay and do professional development.

  • @isabelmariamendezrochaorop3374

Hello! Our contract hours are from 7:45-2:35. I work for Los Angeles Unified School District. We have early dismissal evert Tuesday and on that day, we have meetings until 3:45. Students leave at 1:25. Something that we've been going through is that we cannot use our rug in our classroom. :( That does not help. I teach First Grade, btw. Also, I love to listen to Disney's Piano music when I get to my classroom. A Bubbly Classroom gave me that idea. Love your videos. :)

8-3:15 one Monday a week staff meetings go till 3:30 but if there is no new news they are usually cancelled. We have one early dismissal every month usually the last Wednesday of the month. We do however have team leader meetings every other week where one team member from each grade and special areas come in from 7:30-8am and share all the info with their team, this is a stipend position so it’s extra pay since it’s before contract hours.

Were a four day school, contract time starts at 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., of course because it it a four day school - we often work on weekends to catch up. There are so many meetings scheduled after school there is no time. I as you am feeling negative towards work, but alot of that is due to admin. I hope you are feeling better and so great to see your growing family.

My district doesn’t do early release. It’s my 8th year and it’s only been due to an emergency, like weather.

  • @schoolhousechronicles3289

Welcome back. You are doing a great job with your combo class! Cute OOTD's. Our contract hours are from 7:45am to 2:35pm. Every Tuesday, we have early dismissal from 1:25pm to 3:25pm for meetings. Music is powerful, I listen to the radio on the way to work and home (occasionally), but when I get into the classroom, I listen to music (instrumental) while I'm prepping and sometimes I let it play (in the background) as the students enter the room and even while they are working. They love it and it keeps them engaged and calm. I play Disney's Piano Classical music (czcams.com/video/qeLu68qXzps/video.html) during quiet time, after lunch. We have no yard duty at all (per our contract).
