actually you may be wrong. the thing is that yes, the portions are quite small but not that much really. there are many plates so you feel, after eating all the thing they ate, comfortably full. and btw this is what an average person should eat

I love how the expensive Caesar's Palace just serves samples for the price of a car. Like I would never get full there
I would definitely eat the tacos but the other restaurant is a no go for me. Something about using tweezers to plate my food seems a bit over the top for me. I want good food and a good amount. The one bite meal at $1000 just doesn't get it for me. That is just a status of I have made it rich meal. 😒
It's all about the experience. Going to a regular burger or bbq restaurant every time you're on vacation doesn't leave much memories. But you remember eating in a place like this for the rest of your life.

I would be beyond mad to get a dime sized piece of meat at $200. My vacation may end with me in jail.

Tacos El Gordo is amazing!! 100% worth the wait. Get the adobada tacos and/or fries and ask for a side of pineapple. When we visited the Vegas location, the workers gave water cups to everyone waiting in line in the heat! They also have locations in San Diego. 🌮🖤
The food is great, however lines and the way they operate is not right. They know they get a massive crowd on a regular basis, they should try and fix it, not let it get worse. We had to stand in queue for an hour and half for 5 tacos, doesn't seem right. I wouldn't go back there only because of the crowd and that is the restaurants fault
First of all it's not even all that... Tacos El Gordo is nothing but Basic Bland Tacos. There are several other taco spots in the valley that are 10 times better than this place. Of course tourist won't know any better because they just stick to the strip, seriously no it's not 100% worth the wait.

When I went to Vegas last summer , I tried these tacos and omg.. amazing!! Literally waited an hour tho .. but worth it!!! Deff need to go check out! **this place is really well known celebrities are sometimes spotter there too! 😉😉

As a Vegas local...I've never been to any of these or tried any of these, except for Tacos El Gordo. Not even the strip location either. The one on Charleston, by the indoor swapmeet.
Diego Perez Is the line shorter for that location or still super long? Is the wait worth it, in your opinion? I mean, it looks worth it, but I want an “un-sponsored” opinion from someone who has actually eaten there, you know?

Yesss. My favorite spot. Grew up with Tacos el Gordo in TJ and SD and when I moved to Vegas and heard they were opening a spot I was so happy.
best episode yet, lotus of siam was the revelation of the season when i enjoyed it.
I've had Tacos El Gordo in both San Diego and Tijuana. Its considered border food, hense the addition of cheese unlike more deep into Mexico where cheese is not usually added to everything. Tijuana is where it originated as street tacos. It's very popular and very delicious! There's always long lines.
As someone born and raised in Vegas, I've never been to these places or know anyone who has recommended them to me.

I remember when tacos el gordo use to be in Plaza Americana in Otay, Tijuana. right after watching a movie in cinemastar we would go get some tacos, BOMB!!

We go to tacos el Gordo on the late night every time we drag race in Vegas! 💯
There's a better spot and no bs line. Go north on Las Vegas Blvd past Fremont, and under the overpass. Just beyond there, there are two taco trucks on the right....go to the one next to the VA place, not next to the tire place. Their carrots/jalapenos are the best. 2 elpastor and 2 asada...load up some sauces/onion/cilantro, then bunch of carrots. Killer stuff.

Best tacos I've ever had , tijuana near the airport. This doesn't compare to the taste of what I've had. Imagine the best tacos you've had but with 10x the taste.
Sometimes less is more. Those Ceaser's palace meals are packed with vitamins and protein; enough nutrition for an entire week.
