    Great advice, makes perfect sense. Going down to Kuta beach when Ive finished my cup of tea to try it out with a soft top long board. Cheers!!

    Best to wear some head protection and try the new gen soft tops. Do everything to minimize the possibility of injury.

    One Question: How can you grab the rails at the middle of the board, and then when under the water be holding the nose?

      my guess is because your whole body is in the front half of the board when underwater, so pulling will make the nose go down. the point you grab for popping up is in the front half of the board. when you popup your knees press against the tail half so your board is flat.

    Great adivce and knowing your break. Taking the time to see the waves potential break zone, is valuable to my entry options be it turtle or float over.

    Thanks! I'll try this out. I've been trying with arms bent and having board pulled away.

    no wonder I thought turtle rolls are stupid, now I'm keen for a longboarding session to give this a try. gonna send this to all my mates too!

      so you tried it? how was it

    • @thestereokid6073
      @thestereokid6073 Před rokem +1

      @@zionperez6627 much better than before. I still have to work on sinking down to pull the board under but it’s a lot easier than trying to stick to the board and be the turtle. Also have to work on the re-mount a bit but mostly for when there’s a short wave period and I don’t have enough time to get some paddles in between waves.
      Now go out and try it yourself!

    ok, good stuff, but curious why--if you're saying grab the rails from paddling position--you're head would be where the Go-Pro mount is

      I was wondering the same thing. How can you grab the rails at the middle of the board, and then when under the water be holding the nose?
