Congratulations, you’ve just discovered the best metal band ever. I’m serious. There’s never been any band that tick every box. Technical proficiency, tick. Songwriting, tick. Composition and arrangement, tick. Vocal excellence, tick. Drumming stamina, proficiency and inventiveness, tick. Positive lyrical content, tick. Humble, approachable personalities, tick. Genuine appreciation of fans and fan base, tick. But the biggest tick is for consistency. They have produced 50 tracks, NONE of which are below par by any means of measurement, and they can perform them ALL to the standard you’ve just seen, live. Again and again and again. Great reaction.

OMG..The Warning to Band-Maid (Rock Band with Metal & Punk influences) to Lovebites (Metal), talk about woman power!!! You just saw the petite models who wear white dresses and high heels on stage to stand out and be seen easier who turn into Metal Goddesses. Here Asami/vocals at 4' 10" thunders over the music behind her despite a restricted arena (less than 50% capacity, assigned seats, social distances, no yelling, screaming or shouting and clapping only) and still rock the house down. She is a ex-ballerina student who was a backup RnB/Jazz/Soul singer and never sang metal till she joined this band. The 4' 9" Haruna/drums is a pocket nuke that blasts this way for 2 hours and never breaks a sweat. The guitars are polar opposites, Midori/Blond extrovert (smile to light up the stage) is the Flash/Shred Queen who gave up piano and Pharmacy school at 20 to learn the guitar. Miyako/Dark hair is the introvert (musical savant) Harmonics/Tones Melodic Queen who is a classical trained pianist since age 3 and took up the guitar at 18 and taught herself to play! 50+ songs since 2017 and not one of them is anything but epic. 1st all female metal band from Japan to play at the great Wacken Open Air Metal Festival (100+ metal bands from around the world play over 3/4 days). They have taken all the glory of '80 metal and blended it with old world masters influences and then raised it to a new level with their insane talent. Some other songs to blow you away:
Empty Daydream LIVE (czcams.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/video.html) Piano, Asami's bluesy vocals, guitar clinic, driving drums and bass-line with vocals.
Swan Song with Chopin Etude piano intro LIVE (czcams.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/video.html) Miyako rips the keys and then goes on to guitar and back to piano while the band blends metal and classical piano. Love your reaction and if you love the Warning then Band-Maid will really please you and of course Lovebites will really put a smile on your face.

Better late than never! Congratulations on finding the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miho and Miyako have composed most of their music, in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer, but Midori has also been getting into the act. Asami writes a lot of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. and aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and at this point they’ve taken it to another level.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands.
Other live songs to check out are "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: czcams.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/video.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: czcams.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/video.html; and “Holy War”: czcams.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/video.html
Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: czcams.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/video.html; but if it is taken down, you can watch two clips back to back: czcams.com/video/hDBjiQI9cyc/video.html and czcams.com/video/uEsEWISc8Q0/video.html I promise, it’s worth it.
For a thrasher with heavy Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” czcams.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/video.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” czcams.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/video.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while it’s generally true their live clips are best, their MV’s are epic and worth seeing:
    "When Destinies Align" czcams.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/video.html
    "Glory to the World" czcams.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/video.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" czcams.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/video.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

    from Japan.
Thank you for listening to LOVEBITES.
First, the origin of their band name.
The band name "LOVEBITES" is derived from the song "Love Bites (So Do Eye)" of the American hard rock band "Halestorm".
    How the band was formed.
On July 18, 2015, when DESTROSE went into hiatus, miho (Ba), who was in charge of the bass at DESTROSE, invited haruna (Dr),
who had previously left DESTROSE, to start forming a new band.
The two listened to the song of asami (Vo) sung on the demo tape of a professional composer, contacted them, and asami joined as the third member.
On June 15, 2016, the name of the new band of miho and haruna was announced as "LOVEBITES" and the official website was opened.
On June 29th, it was announced that midori (Gt) would join and support guitarist mi-ya (miyako) would join.
"Miyako" stands on the right side of the stage,
And "midori" stands on the left side.
    The latest information.
Miho, the leader and bassist of this band
Announced withdrawal from the band on 08.17.2021.
Currently the band is temporarily suspended.
Her withdrawal is said to be a fatal injury to the band's dissolution,
Most expectation is that if they can welcome a new bassist Their activities are expected to resume.
    And if you like LOVEBITES
You should check the sites below.

I absolutely LOVE people's first reaction to Love Bites I can watch those vids all day. I haven't read the comments but Holy War live at Zepp city is the best way to introduce them.
Asami voice is that of an enchanting siren. Her stage presence is dare I say it Freddie Mercury-ISH heavy on the ish

Also pay attention to the lyrics of their songs. It is studded with the dignity of life, self-love, and the courage to overcome difficulties.
The leader Miho (bass), who left her band, suffered from her depression, so she may have wanted to encourage her. In fact, it seems that many people have alleviated their depression with the LOVEBITES song. All lyrics are in English except for one song in their first EP. Vocal Asami's English is still studying, so if she's a music video, she recommends turning CC on.

Mind blowing is Lovebites! These ladies are so phenomenally talented all around. They play so tight together, super polished and the twin lead guitars, Midori and Miyako, play perfect solos both separately and together with their synchronized harmonies. And of course the drummer, Haruna, is a pocket sized nuclear reactor back there, driving the engine, while Asami's angelic yet powerful vocals get layered on top. This band won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band, yet are practically unheard of in the USA. But the wolfpack plans to fix that. Please do more Lovebites. I recommend their song "Holy War" czcams.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/video.html

Oh, they're definitely a metal band !! The singing ballerina is Asami & she is their main lyricist. " M & M", Midori & Miyako on guitar, Miyako is the main composer, although they have all, written music for the band. You have the 4ft, 9 inch dynamo Haruna, on drums. Last but not least, the keeper of the faith, lover of classic metal & founder of the band, Miho. None of the fandom knows exactly why she left, but she did say, " Lovebites will continue & we should all support them." Anyway for more thrash react too, " Break the Wall " or something slower where you can really hear Asami's voice & watch & hear Miyako slay the piano, try " Epilogue ". Thanks & definitely hope you'll do more 😎🥁🎸🎹❤👌

They are great, definitely spear-heading their way up in the Heavy Metal genre all the while being true to themselves and not sacrificing their femininity. Thank you for checking out their music. LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
    Stabbing myself with the thunder
    The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
    Flowing blood and crimson blade
    Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
    Who’s going to be sacrificed?
    ON FIRE
    Just like a falling flower
    ON FIRE
    Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
    Distorted madness is sneering
    Incompetent, cowardly fools
    A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
    ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
    ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
    The blue moon colors blaze
    Stabbing myself with the thunder
    The predetermined imitation
    An emotionless and fearless smile
    Flowing blood and crimson blade
    Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
    Who’s going to be sacrificed?
    ON FIRE
    Just like a falling flower
    ON FIRE
    Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

Expecting a "rock band" and then getting confronted with Lovebites' so far heaviest Thrash Metal song (I'd say in this regard "Break the Wall" comes closest to this one), which is at the same time also one of the best Thrash Metal songs ever (at least in my book) - that surely must have added to the surprise effect! And it quite obviously did. (Old school) Metal doesn't get better than this.

      @MissLoonasSpeech Před 2 lety +3

@@PaleHorseShabuShabu I also have the "Battle in the East"-DVD, but while "The Apocalypse" is an excellent song, I don't see how it can be considered Lovebites' heaviest. I wonder if you perhaps might think of the furious beginning and the slower middle part with Haruna's heavy double bass-playing, but that doesn't make this song their heaviest, especially not as far as the guitar riffing is concerned, which definitely sounds rawer/more aggressive on "Set the World on Fire", "Break the Wall" and also "Thunder Vengeance" and "The Hammer of Wrath" (mostly throughout the entire songs). However, assuming that we both like all of their songs, our different opinion in this regard won't make any of their songs less enjoyable. :)

So it seems you’ve been lovebitten, too. Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, and versatile great musicians. They are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Their main influences are Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Judas Priest, Angra, Dragonforce, Helloween and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their own and unique style. They really shine in their live performances. Next recommendations are “Thunder vengeance”, “Break the wall”, “Hammer of wrath”, “Raise some hell” (all live, but avoid Bloodstock because of bad audio). Lineup:
    Haruna - Drums
Miho - Bass, backing vocals (she just left the band)
Midori - Lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Miyako - Lead & rhythm guitar, keyboards, classical piano, backing vocals

Definitely metal! Thanks for checking them out. But yea, that's how they usually perform, especially Miyako, the dark haired guitarist, more of an introvert and kind of have that icy demeanor, but there are instances where she shows a fun side of her. Midori, the other guitarist is much more of an extrovert, but I think in this song that is very technically intense and requires more focus, and they also sing some backgrounds, so they stay more in the same place. Asami the vocalist is usually quite active and she's all over the stage hyping up the crowd. Miho the bassist is a natural head banger. But there are definitely other songs in this concert and other concerts where they show the physical fun side of it all. As for songs, Holy War, Thunder Vengeance, Winds of Transylvania, Swan Song, so many to choose from... Enjoy your dive into Lovebites!
