  • Pannun murder plot: “India taking it seriously” White House reacts to WaPo’s ‘speculative’ report
In the latest report, the Washington Post alleged India’s involvement in Gurpatwant Singh Pannun murder plot. The US-daily named R&AW official Vikram Yadav in the matter and claimed assassination was approved by then R&AW Chief Samant Goel. Reacting to the Washington Post’s report, the White House said, “This is a serious matter, and we’re taking that very, very seriously”. Reacting strongly, MEA cleared its stance on the report and said that the report makes ‘unwarranted’, ‘unsubstantiated’, ‘irresponsible’ claim. As per the US Justice Department indictment, an Indian national, Nikhil Gupta has been charged with the murder-for-hire of Pannun. It also claimed that the plan to assassinate Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was foiled by US authorities. However, India has always taken a firm stance in this case and has said that the matter is under investigation. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is an Indian-designated terrorist who holds dual citizenship in the US and Canada.

One country’s enemy is other country’s friend. It’s not a serious matter.

He isn't coming. The election has already been fixed. It doesn't matter who votes. What matters is who counts the votes.

Blame a small security guard, he will be fired- indo US relations too imp.
Blame modi- bye bye indo US relations, Indian PM too high up ( Canadians ie british protected by french may do it)
US and gang is testing how much can it press India and influence it's internal organisations.
Somewhere in between the guard and PM lies the sweet spot or upper limit of US influence
