A global pandemic occurred which decimated the globe, turning millions of humans into feral cannibalistic creatures know as zombies or as some call them Freakers. The remnants of humanity have abandoned towns to seek refuge in the wilderness creating safe zones.
When a virus causes a large portion of humanity to become uncontrollably crazy, Deacon, his wife Sarah, and his friend Boozer attempt to flee for safety. However, Sarah is stabbed and critically wounded, forcing Deacon to evacuate her on a National Emergency Restoration Organization (NERO) helicopter. However, since the helicopter does not have enough room carry all three of them, Deacon decides to stay behind with Boozer while promising Sarah he will reunite with her later.

Glad you got it sorted. Something to know about the knife, you can shoot the fire escape ladder down or you can use a rock. I usually go to the far side of town & park near the gas station. Lol your reactions to things are so familiar. Reminds me of me. Good job sneaking into camp. Never thought of just crouching beside the boardwalk.

Great gameplay! Glad you got that glitch figured out. The game just gets better and better and you get sucked into the story the longer you play. The graphics are top notch and the devs really paid attention to details in this game.
