  • All cameras are forbidden inside the Taj Mahal, especially video cameras, which are not allowed within several hundred meters. Thankfully our camera doesn't look like a video camera, so I was able to just turn it on, hang it off my neck, and walk in. Here are more than 8 minutes of uncut and unedited video documentary of what the inside of the Taj Mahal looks like.
    Technical notes: Shot in 1080p HD with a Canon 60D camera.

    Taj Mahal is original Lord Shiva Temple, converted into grave by moguls. Lot of proofs inside. So video shooting is restricted.

    Yes, he broke the no camera rule. Frankly, I'm glad he did. Most people don't have the money to travel half way across the world and pay for a probably super expensive ticket to go see inside of a building, including me.

    25 years ago, still/ video camera was allowed with extra charges. For foreign tourists, charges were 5-8 times. I had a still SLR camera with me when I visited it 25 years ago. I have preserved the negatives & photos of Taj taken from outside and inside. In those times, the security was no that strict as is today hence many tourissts had captured main buildings from inside just like I did. I always wonder the logic behind prohibition on the documentation and research of the buildings like Taj. Why they do not want people to reswarch and to know the truth of such buildings? And camera flash lights do not damage the stones.

    oky .. so post viewing I thought that this is a recording of forbidden places in Taj which the Indian Gov had intentionally kept hiden from public. It is a hearsay that Taj Mahal initially was Hindu Temple (lord Shiva) which was seized by Moghul Emperor - Shah jahan. He then converted the Hindu temple to marble mausoleum. Even the story of Mumtaz Mahal is Hoax. As at that time, India was under Moghul rule so no one dared to challenge him. And as the history is written by victors - slowly slowly it got imbibed in mind that Taj mahal was built by Shah jahan for his Wife and it passed on generation to generation without knowing the actual truth.! It is even said that if we look closely there are some of the paintings (relating to Hindu) have been camouflaged purposely. Thus as this is a kind of very grave issue the Gov. kept it as a secrete. Whether it is truth or just imaginary thing -- who knows but All of the information is available in internet just search it . 😒

    oh the same thing was happening - locals were using their cell phones for both photos and videos, and whistle guy was blowing a gasket trying to stop them. the funny thing is that there are restrictions / tolls on both photo and video cameras everywhere in india, but cell phones are immune. we can understand flash photography being damaging to monuments, but all the restrictions just make no sense.

    They keep everything so dark so you cannot see the older structures that they built upon. Truly, the Taj is covering something much more incredible. It is a shame that the grandeur is kept locked away from humanity! Across the river there, you can see the palace, the size is massive! Red sandstone was used for the old buildings, white marble was placed on top to take credit away.

      Disrespectful? They pile Indians and foreigners in at whatever cost. If they allowed cameras in people wouldn't go. So they are just lining there pockets with a crap experience they won't let you preview. If people could see how crap it was before they went they wouldn't go and therefore the Indian's wouldn't get the money. It's not disrespectful it's just beating them at their own crappy rip off game. Plus someone like me can now wonder about other things rather than what the inside of the Taj Mahal looks like because I'm never going to go to that country, why would I?

    Leave it to Americans to disrespect a culture and something insanely beautiful words cannot even describe. It's videos and idiots like these that really make me feel ashamed for being an American. Honestly why would you go and do something like this? For the record I didn't watch the video. This is so shameful and disrespectful. What a disgrace.

    • @frankandjen
      @frankandjen  Před 9 lety +6

      leave it to americans to make false assumptions about others, yet feel entitled enough to comment on something they admit they have not watched. wait, i don't want to judge an entire people like you just did. it would be silly to do that!

    • @HulkyTime
      @HulkyTime Před 9 lety +2

      frankplusjen have not fully* watched. Are you not American? Is Canada all the sudden not part of North America anymore. I'm not judging you, I'm telling you this video is disrespectful as a whole. Why purposely disobey and obvious law they have for a reason? Is that not disrespectful to their culture? It isn't just me who feels this way, and yes it's an idiotic decision. It's like you're they child who got away with stealing the cookie from the cookie jar. Does doing something like this give you so much of a rush it turns you on? So much of a rush you have to brag about it and put it online? Keep this trash in your private collection, you should be more respectful.

    • @frankandjen
      @frankandjen  Před 9 lety +3

      donniedarko408
      you said, and i quote, "for the record I didn't watch the video", not that you didn't fully watch it. no i'm not american, or were you trying to generalize people from an entire continent, not just a country? and since you didn't watch the video, you probably didn't read the comments, where it's been stated that it's a mad house of cell phones and an orgy of photos and videos all around, mostly by local tourists. the "rules" are that you can't take photos or videos, but if everyone ignores it, then you think for yourself if it makes any sense. since you are such a law-abiding citizen, the next time you go over the speed limit by 1 km per hour (or 1 mph in your case), maybe you should turn yourself over to the police.

    • @HulkyTime
      @HulkyTime Před 9 lety +4

      Why would you title your video *Forbidden Footage*? And yes I did read the comments. A majority of them talk about you being a disgrace for doing this. Funny how yours is the only video on CZcams that willing knows it's forbidden, that isn't some sort of documentary. And about the madhouse of local tourist, if they are filming so much inside the mausoleum, how come it isn't their videos I see on youtube? Maybe it's because although they know they disrespected the rules, they still have a conscious not to brag about it on youtube. I'm sorry your so offended by what I've told you, but you still haven't acknowledge the fact that what you've done (recording inside the tomb) was disrespectful. More importantly, the way you go about sharing your video as being "forbidden". And your logic is still idiotic, essentially what you just told me was, "if everyone else is jumping off a bridge I'm going to too." f*cking lemming. I'm done with this. I've already reported your video and will get as many other people to do so as well. Have a good day and enjoy your blissful ignorance. We should all be so lucky.

    • @frankandjen
      @frankandjen  Před 9 lety +1

      donniedarko408 while you are on your moral crusade, you should also report all videos that are shot within 400 meters of the taj, because the rule there is no video is allowed past the first viewing platform, but at the same time photos within that area are allowed. hey, maybe that rule makes sense to you too. goodbye.

    You do remember that it is basically a sacred grave that you were video recording just in order to get more hits on CZcams or to brag in front of your friends right? How would you feel if someone were to do a video shooting at your parents grave?
    I do not what to say, but your actions are similar to those of grave robbers albeit much looser in context.
    You are basically bragging about making a mockery of the law system of a country which you were a guest of.
    Not only is this wrong on so many levels (even in morality), but it is also downright CRIMINAL.

    truth should come out.. let it b of any religion no issues... but the credit should go to correct person.. history should b correct. we Indian are known for friendly country respecting all religions. the credit should go to worked person whom ever it is. and all should be ready to accept it. we Indians ourselves shouldn't compare. its our heritage.. its Indians.. so no prob..

    This vid is pretty worthless in terms of providing a good look inside the Taj. I believe one can go right up to the crypts(?) using Google Street View to get a much better view. That said, the "no camera" rule here seems a bit arbitrary to me. Somehow, turning this amazing mausoleum into an Indian Disneyland is cool but taking photographs is just going too far? Yet as a guest in another country, it is not up to me to decide which rules apply and which do not.

    wow........this is terrible.
    clearly you don't understand that these rules were put in place for a reason. there have been threats to this ancient monument and that is why security has been strict.
    Not to mention that this is disrespectful being a tomb. sad that some people don't understand the principle of values any longer.
    I'd advise you delete this ...

      You think a youtube video is gonna be the one deciding factor in a terrorist attack? Like, the terrorists couldn't visit before hand? And yeah, it's a tomb. But its also run as a tourist attraction otherwise they'd not be leading crowds of foreigners through it. Why is it okay for the people selling tickets to get in to show people the tomb, but not for the poster of this video? Think this centuries dead emperor gave permission?
      Or do you really think a video of the tomb is less respectful than selling tickets to sweaty foreigners who want to trample through it en masse? At worst this is 'disrespectful' to the Indian tourism board, not to any long dead empress.

    Hi,
    My name’s Sam and I’m a TV producer in the UK. I'm currently putting together a fun CZcams clip / archive show for UK TV channel, ITV.
    It's called WTF: What's the Facts? and it's a parody of 'hard-hitting' news/conspiracy shows but instead of showing news or documentary clips, we're showing clips from YT which we think are fun, funny, or too crazy not to have!
    It would be amazing if we could include your video in our upcoming edition. Can I confirm you are the owner of the clip?
    Your clip will be part of a half-hour, one-off programme which will air on ITV2 (our comedy and entertainment channel) in the evening (pre-watershed).
    We'll be thanking every maker in the end credits - what do you think? Can we include your video?
    Our schedule is pretty tight, so let me know as soon as you can! You can email me at sam.mitchell@transparent.tv
    Thanks,
    Sam
