Makes me want to get the Crave and Edge now. They are a powerhouse together. I have a neutron and a BIG System 100 modular synthesizer based on 95% Behringer 100 modules and Brains oscillator. I am impressed by the Edge's sound presence and powerful impact. I really love the Edge so far. Behringer just plain rocks !! Thank you for creating great sounding and reasonably priced synthesizers.
This seems like a straight up inspiration box! What I love about these “little” Behringer products is that I’m SO much more likely to try out a unit like this at $200, whereas the DFAM at 3x the price is way more of a risky price for dabbling. This thing sounds great!
@@thmbones Thy can sound identical in some settings but there's differences The EDGE has MIDI DIN I/O and USB, DFAM doesn't. DFAM can be racked, EDGE can't. EDGE has Pink and white noise, DFAM white. EDGE has a CEM based filter, DFAM has Moog filter. The DFAM's EG has a 21 sec release, the EDGE 10. DFAM OSC range can go just a tiny bit higher in pitch. Sound wise I can't say one sounds better than the other, they both sound great.
I am so happy about behringer. This is their best release so far. Pure analogue techno drum machine, AND they've just announced the SPICE to go with the crave and the edge. All hail Behringer!

While I'm kinda torn on whether this is okay, being a blatant ripoff of Moog's DFAM. It's sounds good, and it being like a fraction of the cost, I might pick one up anyway. Plus I love the color. Purple is my favorite color.
Please do a midi video, it's a key difference and the reason I am interested. I know the midi will be limited, but please show the melodic side, it responding to mid pitch and velocity. Does the patch bay velocity olut and pitch out take the the incoming midi velocity or pitch, or just from the sequencer? Does the pitch bend wheel work?
Dear Behringer, as much as I love your all recent synths I feel like barely anyone I recently saw using them, can get any good musical results - even this official video looks more like a baby playing with glockenspiel. I feel it can negatively affect all the promotion and general synth outlook. In my case I am fine with this because I can feel the potential what I could squeeze out of it, BUT for anyone less experienced, or experienced with VST's this video like many others might look unappealing! Anyway great synth and keep it up! ❤❤

I must agree with above, but more politely. Your stuff is very basic at best, mixed poorly and cookie cutter copied. These demonstrations are using new gear and experimenting, pushing ideas. I think you could learn a lot from them 👍

at this point behringer should just start announcing release dates like marvel does in phases lmao. whenever i see those phase 5 and phase 6 release dates i never believe them but atleast i know what’s coming and what’s not lol. maybe even drop a mid and post credits scene after every youtube video teasing the next behringer synth hahaha
I really don't understand how the sound of this live demo is recorded since the "out" isn't plugged. Can anyone explain this to me please ? I can't see any USB cable neither, so no stream. Is the master signal going out thru the VCA output ?

I see Thomann got down to stock expected in less than a week, and switched back to 1-2 weeks. No way I'm ordering this until it's actually in stock. Especially as Thomann seem overpriced at the moment, and Andertons is a better price if willing to wait a bit longer. They longer wait may not e so big if Thomann doesn't get it's stock soon.
Sure I want it..but I can also see how wobbly theese knobs are. Nothing that will last very long..but for this price, guess its what you have to expect.

The filter on the Behringer sounds edgier than the one on the Moog.
As much as I love moog those piddly little knobs on the dfams sequencer are lame. God bless Behringer!!!
