dragon ball reaction - Zábava
The name Inoshikacho is a reference to a very very old cardgame called Koi-Koi, which uses hunaduda cards, a combo of cards which awards you 10 points is Inoshikachō, a Boar (Ino), a Deer (Shika), and a Butterfly (Cho), the joke here being what if their species were put together instead of just their names.
It's filler, but it is the introduction of Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu in the anime (and by extension the introduction of the Crane Hermit (their master) if you go by Roshi's photos from when they were younger.
"Goku...I've heard that name before..."
"Then stop him Chiaotzu!"
XD If Chiaotzu remembered where he heard of Goku from he would probably only be helping to try and kill him.
8:00 - 8:05
Krillin: Goku, what's your favorite food?
Goku: Favorite?
This is filler thats never in the manga. But the anime basically changes canon to make this brought up as their first time meeting. So you can't really skip it without losing context to what they're saying.
It's hard to tell which episodes are filler in OG DB. They are all so good and always teach Goku a new lesson or make him new friends. Yet they are all so fun to watch
Every episode has filler. The filler is not what's in the manga. You can't faithfully translate manga into animation.
In the Japanese version, this monster's name was actually pronounced "ee-NO-shee-KAW-cho." The emphasized syllables were inverted for the Funimation dub.
Goku did tell 17 that Tien was originally an enemy just like Piccolo and Vegeta.
Two more episodes until the 22nd World Tournament.
2:59 Your reaction was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, that was Roshi, age 18.
6:12 - 6:52 Tien and Chiaotzu were different back in the old days.
Tien and Chiaotzu= Perfect duo✨
I love them! ✨🥺
In honor of Yamcha: Gay!
Finally. Here we go! Goku vs. Tien. One of my favorite fights in Dragon Ball.
Ina Chika Chou is from a Cardgame and means Boar, Deer, and Butterfly.
I personaly like how, well you sould be fare enough. I like how Flying was a big Deal, part of a specific Martial Arts School, and nothing given for free.
And yeah I think thats filler. But I think its a good Teaser from whats comming.
Besides, his Voice is so weird. I belife if I remember correctly, his ton was more composed and somewhat respectfull, but also a bit passive agressive? Hard to describe.
Like man-bear-pig. Lol.
Finally we get to see the first animated appearance of Tien & Chiaotzu!
It's crazy how much this filler really adds to the introduction of Tien & Chiaotzu. It's such a great way to really show us the path Tien is down, before we even see him in the tournament. This combined with the filler where he has to get the Dragon Ball from the guy who's leg he broke makes Tien feel like a character who has actually interacted with the world around him. A lot of other characters in Dragon Ball kind of live inside a bubble.
Imagine my shock as a kid when I saw this after watching all of DBZ up to the Buu saga in the early 00’s.
This is the beggining of the best arc in the series. Idc what anyone says this arc has the best story/choreography
It really does!
inoshikacho is a pig deer and butterfly combined hence the naruto characters ino=pig shika=deer and cho= butterfly, also yes this is filler but tien and chiaotzu are like how they acted in this ep
Wow props for figuring out how to spell that name, it ain’t easy.
@@mathewcooper8505 thanks this is my favorite half of dragonball
@@rebornjmsame! The pacing is just generally better than Z.
@@mathewcooper8505 I will always love DB more than Z
Specifically from a Cardgame.
This is technically a filler, but it's also the first time Goku is introduced to Tien-shinhan and Chaotzu, so it holds a special place in people's heart. It's the main reason people don't recommend skipping the fillers this time.
I believe Inoshikachou is just the words for deer, butterfly and boar mushed together to form a fantasy-sounding beast. It doesn't quite work in English, so for some reason the dub just left it untranslated for some reason.
Honestly, you're one of the only women I watch on CZcams your content is actually fun and funny to watch
Melon meets young tien &....."younger" chiaotzu!!
And yes melon in this version its not 3 young genin its just an Effin 🐷😅.
Vegeta! It’s a Pokemon!
In Japanese Ino means boar, Shika means deer and Cho means butterfly, that monster was a boar with deer antlers and butterfly wings.
Tien and Chiatsu making bank with their scam. goddamn
Inoshiacho Kishimoto was definitely watching Dragon Ball
6:54
In the original Japanese dub Krillin was asking what Master Roshi was doing in Burma's bedroom 😏
Goku's power is inversely proportional to how hungry he is.
It clearly non filler if they're the main characters we're talking about.
Tien and Chaiotzu used to be bad guys back then.
The questions I have that were never answered are:
Why does Tien have three eyes?
Who is Chiaotzu?
This is sort of filler, but it is canon as the first appearance of those two.
The name is a reference to a card combination in the Hanafuda card game, Koi-Koi; InoShikaCho is a card combination that uses the cards the Boar (Ino), the Deer (Shika), and the Butterfly (Cho). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koi-Koi
Kikoho man is here
In Daima trailer kid Roshi was bald so maybe the young Roshi picture is gonna get retconned?
Hi Melon I really liked this episode the last one too
Inoshikacho was a good pig he just had bad friends
And I can't believe Tien and Chiaotzu were going let him die liked that
I was so angry with both of them
And yes this was there introduction
Goku hardly has any purely good allies the only three people that are as really good as him is his own sons and his granddaughter. At least from their introductions
This is the start of one of my favorite arcs in all DB: the rise and resdemption of Tien. Piccolo and Vegeta are following in his footsteps.
Also wow…. Civilians in DB are just as dumb as they are in DBZA
If I remember right, this is filler introducing Tien and chow early. In the manga they met at the next tournament. (Some good fights coming!!!)
What’s inochicoshow like in Naruto? Idk Naruto much
Ino, Choji and Shikamaru are a team and their families have a long history together where they have combined techniques. The combo is called Inoshikacho. Everyone in their family follow a naming convention so they can use that keep calling it that through different generations.
Finally, back to cannon storyline
Filler *is* Canon; it is just part of the story that doesn't move the story forward.
Did I just see her wipe a tear off. It's fine it has happened to us all watching the pure innocent Goku. We can always learn a lot from him.😊
Kiko how ya doin’
Keep up the good work
Another filler episode. In the manga, Goku and Tien first meet is at the tournament. I believe the next episode will be the beginning of the new story arc.
This episode introduction to Tien and chiaotzu is Cannon to the story because during the next tournament they show it in flashbacks. The man in the photo with Roshi was their Master. Master Shen
Nah it's filler it wasn't in the manga and not even mentioned
Whether it was in the manga or not it was mentioned in a flashback during the beginning of the tournament
@@nvp8191It's still a filler.
@@nvp8191 anime filler is content added as filler to the anime version of a manga adaption that didnt exist in the manga. any scene not directly in the manga is "filler".
Don't mess with Dragon Ball fans, we don't know what filler is.
As a general rule, I only refer to anime-specific material as "filler" if it has no connection to the plot or character arcs of the main crew. As such, since this episode does introduce Tien, Chiaosu, and the character from Roshi's training days, I don't consider it filler even if it wasn't in the manga. The anime references this episode so I consider it necessary to understand the baseline of their character arcs in the 22nd MA tournament
Can never read that guy
Dragon Baboost
Animelon you need react to Pokemon: horizons anime🙏🏼
Ya'know, filler is occaaaaasionally okay.
Like just cause it's filler doesn't mean it should always be completely disregarded, it can still be a decent episode of an anime.
I mean I get it, Naruto did us all pretty dirty with filler lol
At its best the filler for Dragon Ball was usually better than stuff in the manga itself a lot of times to me.
I still prefer the original Bardock special to Toriyama’s canon Bardock story version in Super. The former is a better story.
@@countprophet5881 the Bardock Special was one of the best things done of the series. It works so well specifically because it's supposed to be a tragedy. Bardock works better as just some guy that tried to go against the inevitable and, as expected, died rather than be some Mary Sue character that becomes so endowed just due to his popularity from that Special. The Special itself seemed liked enough by Toriyama that he referenced it by putting in a panel where Frieza remembers a scene from the end of it due to Goku looking similar.
Sadly, it’s looking like the franchise is transitioning to Dragon Ball Minus Bardock story as the canon version now. Extremely disappointing.
My pet peeve is when someone says that a scene or episode is "non-canon" because it wasn't in the manga. They are two completely different media with no bearing on one another. If something happens in the anime, it's canon to the anime. It doesn't matter what happened in the manga; that's irrelevant. Trying to claim that the manga is somehow so superior to the anime that it holds absolute dominion over the anime's canon is just you being elitist. You're saying that the manga is better than the anime and, therefore, you're better than anime watchers because you know the manga. Pull your heads out of your collective asses. You give us all a bad name.
Totally agree! Those are also the same people who say you aren't a real anime fan if watch anything other than the Japanese sub. Just let people enjoy what they want
not true. the anime is an adaption of the manga, theyre not "no bearing" at all. the anime is a retelling of Toriyama's manga and as the creator of DB, his version of the story is THE (singular) canon. there is no "anime canon" nothing is "canon to the anime". only what happened in the manga matters (and i say this as someone who didnt read the manga and watched the dubbed anime, the least canon version). Its not elitist to state facts. No one is better for knowing the manga, but they are correct.
@@saphcal Do you say the same thing about superhero movies? Is Spider-Man: Homecoming "not canon" to the MCU because it's different from the Spider-Man comics? That's absurd. The comics aren't "more correct" than the movies just because they came first. They're different media with their own canons. Adaptations aren't rendered immediately irrelevant because they change something; that's why they're adaptations. You don't need to rage at Monty Python and the Holy Grail for being an inaccurate retelling of the King Arthur story.
@@Celestia282 western comics dont work the same way most japanese comics (manga) do, so its more complicated.
@@saphcal Bullshit. A story is a story; it doesn't matter where it's from. To say otherwise is racist.
DragonBall 🤝🏻 Naruto
And you called these filler!!!
Welll.. it is filler but it's still fun to watch
because it is? filler can still be fun/good? i love the otherworld tournament with Pikkon from DBZ but its still non-canon filler
It's all canon. Afaik, nothing in original Dragonball is non-canon.
Then you don't know much. OG Dragonball departs from canon a few times. Tien and Chiaotzu don't appear until the tournament in the manga, which makes this filler, same as every episode since Roshi sent Goku off.
Toriyama is the author of DB, the only canon is the content he directly makes for DB, and anything he says is canon. Most DB stuff is non-canon nowadays. DB DBZ anime, 13 original DBZ movies, the DBZ specials, the DB movies. GT. The games. Heroes. All not canon.
Comic canon and show canon don't have to be the same. The idea that filler is automatically non-canon seems ridiculous to me but to each their own.
@@JJMDude
Omg stop constantly asking if everything is filler it is really annoying just enjoy the episodes as they are
