  • Learn from my mistakes. I show you how to install Hand Guard Deflectors-my take. Sorry use a number 15 Torque bit to install the screws. I forgot to mention that tool.

Sir I have watched many videos on this project and yours was by far the simplest way of getting it done much appreciated. I just subscribed to your channel. Happy Thanksgiving

Good review. BRP does skip over the difficulties in their instructions.

I struggled on this install. It was one of the harder mods. Thank you for watching.

I know this is an older video but in case anyone is seeing this currently what I did was hold the two washers behind the install guard with a small piece of masking tape and then poked a hole thru it. that allowed me to have the 2 washers where there belong in the instructions. Also I found that the bolts that hold the front shield on were very tight so I first threaded those bolts into the factory aluminum hand guard a couple times slowly backing them out with out the shields in place. I also added a small amount of lubricant to help them go in. after that I then installed the front shields. In case anyone is thinking the bolts will not stay because I used a lubricant I can tell you even after what I did the bolts are super tight. You can see in the video at about 5 mins and onwards.

I struggled with the little washers they show as a spacer between the handguard and the deflector. So odd. I had watched a different video where they also stated they stripped a screw. So I was armed with "be gentle" . However I am happy with them, in cold weather it is a bit nicer on the hands.

This was a very frustrating simpler install. The washers worked for me in front and I almost stripped a screw. That is why I bought them is for cooler weather. Thank You Safe riding!

    What tool is needed?

You need a Torque bit. Also a metric #4 Allen key for taking off the hand guard. Sorry I took so long to respond. Thank You for watching!
