this is one of the first songs that i learned fully. i still love to play it
how long did it take you?
it took about a week for me to fully play it by memory, i would practice 2 hours a day at that time.
and the arrangement i learned is a little different than this one, but its close

You should definitely look into the composer "Joe Hisashi's" music. He has written many incredible film scores. Check out "One Summer's Day". Jazz versions of those would be amazing

what grade would you say this piece is? any guidance is appreciated I might try to do this for my exam
You really should try making your own jazz composition. Be it a jazz rendition of an already known tune, just your take on a jazz standard or something entirely new, it'll be better than a note for note cover. If you disagree and honestly believe that copying a complicated jazz piece note for note will get you a higher grade, you're going to the wrong jazz school.
yeah i understand where you're coming from and that really sounds good, im just 15 and looking for some options to branch out from and thought that this might be good to play but what you said sounds even better friend

By looking at it, it looks like a grade 8 piano piece in terms of difficulty.

it means you play it on the other hand (: For eg, if you see a note on the treble clef, you normally play it with your right hand. but if it is red (in this video's case), play it with your left!

migs990 it's the finale file. It puts different layers on different colors. The actual sheet music doesn't show up like that.

you are clearly a ridiculously good pianist, why do you play everything as full pelt? or is that just the terrible recording? it all sounds completely compressed and without nuance.
