What happened? Something's wrong?
@@Randomly_Browsing nothings wrong there’s just a massive spoiler in this case
SPOILIERS!
there were some hints that Fullbright's true nature, for example, remember he had a shocking device that was meant to keep Blackquill in control, but when Blackquill breakes out of his cuffs and threatening everything in court Fullbright did nothing, the reason is to destroy Blackquill's reputation to ruin Blackquill's solid evidence on the Phantom, so yep, his talk on "rehabilitate" Blackquill is total BS. another hint is in his theme, "In Justice we trust" => "Injustice we trust"...
Now you know why a lot of ace attorney fans want you to play DLC first because when you pass this case and see detective act normal in the dlc case, it is just whiplash
Of course
I really love how Athena and Blackquill managed to literally even fool Professional into thinking they really believed Fullbright. 😆
Hehe
They fooled me as well
The squinting serious face that Fulbright did scares me, dont know why.
Because it shows the truth about him
It's because it's a glimpse of his true colors.
Fulbright catchphrase is 'in justice we trust'
But If you really pay attention Its gonna sound like 'Injustice we trust'
Just realized the phantoms theme is a distorted version of fulbrights theme

Looking back its easy to see all the signs, Jinixe seeing Fulbright as a ghost, Fulbrights motto being "injustice we trust", The phantoms theme having bits of Fulbrights theme in it, He got the fingerprinted proof to make Athena be blamed for his crimes, the strange way he acted at the space station and discouraging the rumors of the phantom, how he try's his best to be as incompetent as possible to have you fail int he game. it all makes so much sense. This was such a great twist.
I can't wait for the next game has in store. this was awesome, goodjob pro!

@@element021993 and when we thought you're dead or something, you just appeared
Who would have thought Athena's listening trick with Hugh O' Connor would work better with " In justice we trust" to "Injustice"
it's practically a three way battle between Phoenix wright miles Edgeworth and Apollo justice it's insane
Why?
btw there are 2 really funny lines that happen during case 2 (spoiler alert)
One, when jinxie first meets fulbright she calls him a "phantom yokai" or something of the sort
Two, in his first testimony the phantom says "I tell you, my testimony is accurate or my name isn't Bobby Fulbright!"
The growl Patrick let out when he heard the Phantom saying "the worst of times is when lawyers has to force their biggest smiles" is a telltale sign he did play the original trilogy. I remember saying "You did not just say that, scumbag!" when I was at that point.
With all that out of the way, I have to talk about Prosecutor Simon Blackquill, and why I rank him my third best prosecutor in the series.
First, see how he addresses people. For most of them, he gives nicknames ("Golden Boy" for Hugh, "Tanuki" for Phineas...) to people he doesn't give two thoughts about. When addressing attorneys, he adds "-dono" to their name. This is him seeing them as adversaries. And late in the last case, he calls Athena by her name, telling he still cares about her the same way he did way back when.
Second, Blackquill doesn't abuse the defense as much as other prosecutors does. And even when he does, he goes straight to the point right after.
Third... Who would accept the death row for someone else, even knowing they did it (before being proven otherwise)? Not your average guy, that's who.
Also, if you didn't grasp how huge the cuff removing scene was, picture this.
You are on death row. You have a timer counting down for seven years. You try to do what you can to get another lead on who killed your mentor, but to no avail. Days passes, and no progress. One year passes. Two. Three. Four... Five... Six... You're allowed to do your job, but to still no avail, while the clock is still ticking.
And then, on the last day. You are getting desperate. The clues you are getting are far and few in-between. You're grasping at straws and indict someone to be the killer, but you get evidence that clears them... and indict the person you were sent in jail to protect.
You die tomorrow, and if things keeps going, the one you were protecting will end up in jail just before you depart.
At this point, you have to feel like you're a failure with no time left.
And then, these cuffs gets removed.
You're free. And while the one you took the sentence for doesn't need your protection anymore, you are able to reap the fruits of your work.
Simon Blackquill has never felt so alive when these cuffs came off.
I remember the first time I heard it i almost threw my phone he is the worst
@@theoutsiderjess4869 do you phone survived?
tbh simon has such a well written story! but i wonder who is ur 1st and 2nd fav prosecutors? For me godot is the best lol
@@lavagirl308 me is Edgeworth
@@lavagirl308 First is Edgeworth. Which is to be expected because he always does something significant when he appears. A bit unfair, but they did write him right.
Second best prosecutor is Manfred von Karma. It took time for me to realize that he is actually designed to be a final boss, without any gimmick other than objecting. Usually, I press every statement, even when I don't have to, because I like gaining new information. Von Karma objects to that, every time, and it's genius: he is objecting to the way I play and my hate for him grew. The first encounter with him had me barely surviving the encounter, and a Guilty verdict was passed down on the second. And the only reason I've won against him is because of Maya snatching a vital piece of evidence from him. A.k.a, pure luck. He really was a fearsome opponent, and for the right reasons. (The other prosecutor you get a guilty verdict against is literally a monarch with the power to rewrite laws as they see fit. Von Karma didn't need that, that's how solid his case was.)
I don't know if this was on purpose or not, but in certain scenes where fullbright puts up his fist you can see an "X" mark on the fist. I initially thought that were nerves showing through the glove as he clenches his fist really hard but in actuality it was his had wound that you athena gave him. Also explains why he wore gloves all time. Hats off to the animators for the little details!
Since I'm on the cellphone I can't edit my past comment but I wanted to add, blood samples in bad conditions can be used months after.
But supposely blood in well kept conditions can still be used up to 11 years later.
And the moon rocks are being kept in the capsule in great conditions, which means Capcom did do their research.
How you cant edit?
"Well you were literally impersonating a dead police officer, so you're definately going to prison regardless."
THE FACT THAT AFTER ALL OF THIS BUILDUP WE DONT EVEN SEE THE ACTUAL CULPRIT IS A HUGE TURN OFF FOR ME, IT DOESTN MATTER IF HE IS AN AVARAGE JOE HE FOOLED EVERYONE WITH COLD BLOOD AT LEAST SHOW HIS FACE OR INCLUDE HIM IN FUTURE ACE ATTORNEY GAMES
kinda agree, sucks that they didn't show who he is...
I think that was the point. He’s lost his true identity from his years of being a hitman spy, he’s like agent 47 expect he completely pretended to be others. He’s nothing now.
I also used to think he was behind the other cases due to his disguses
That's the thing, he is if not THE biggest villain in the entire history of Ace Attorney. It's obvious that people wanted to see who he really is. Because at this point he isn't just a nobody in my opinion.
They could have left his name blank but just cut him the end credits or just show a short section of his questioning. Maybe he could say that this is far from over Phoenix Wright! or something like that.
Why would you build a character with such suspense just so you could edge everyone in the end. It's a lame trope if anything.
PS: he didnt actually have those masks on his face right? that must have been a reference to his multiple personalities but he always had his fullbright mask on?
@@Kovacsg729He surely is up there with one in top 5 or something like that. In villains with greatest effects of course.
The Ace Attorney Investigations 2 antagonist and the Spirit of Justice antagonist did a lot more. Not gonna spoil who it is but the effects of said individuals are greater. The span of the entire series even.
This episode really exposes all the brillant foreshadowing and writing in this game
First notice how in the first case we see apollo all bandaged because he was hit by the bomb, which perfectly conceals the eyepatch. But in case 4 we learn that the eyepatch came before the bomb, and now at the very end we learn the reason he wore it
And about Apollo, when you think about it the only times that phoenix actually trusted him with a case was the two times he needed apollo to take out kristoph (with illegal evidence no less). Therefore when he suspected Athena he didn't trust phoenix because he saw him as an equivalent of kristoph: In his mind phoenix would defend Athena even if he knew she was guilty, like he says during case 4 "but what if the truth you seek and the truth I seek are different?". And then in this trial, Apollo learns something on his own. While Phoenix's belief is that he should "believe in his client until the bitter end" Apollo learns that there's no room for belief if you don't question things first. Phoenix and Apollo being together at the bench at the end is very symbolic and this arc continues into Spirit of Justice
And the Phantom... You know the writing is great when you can find so many hints in earlier cases. The lighter being the most obvious one, at the start of case 4 Apollo asks him why he was there before the bombing, and fulbright dodged the question completely with his regular "In justice we trust" speech (and you called him out immediatly btw). The writers also make it abundantly clear throught the game that Fulbright is an idiot and that "Blackquill has him on a short leash" (This is why we told you to play the DLC case early) when in reality it was the other way around. The best part about this character is that if you found a person as emotional as him IRL you'd be immediatly suspicious, but because this is ace attorney it feels normal. It's a very clever way to use their own characters' design for a massive twist
The bandage was like the perfect disguise for hiding the eyepatch
I still don't get why Apollo would do that?
@@Randomly_Browsing It prevented his bracelet from reacting to Athena (remember that this power is tied to his eyesight) which was probably driving him crazy during the investigation because he knew he was supposed to trust his coworker and he didn't want that

For me one of the best thing about Dual Destines is the soundtrack, the themes really fits the tone and characters very well: the objection themes reflecting the experience of the protagonists, a more rock based soundtrack reflecting a futuristic setting (the game takes place in 2027). WOW, I just really enjoy watching Ace Attorney series game and this wasn't any different. Unravelling the secrets 7 years ago which had a great impact in all of the things going in the present was breath-taking. Also understanding about The Phantom was also very scary. Never could have guessed that FullBright was dead and someone else was using his identity, the whole time. Analytical Psychology really played a very important role in deducing everything and also whether the witness is lying or not, or if the emotions he is expressing while giving his testimony. Patrick the theories which you called were also correct at times and you also found out everything properly. Can't wait to watch the next game and have equal kind of feelings.
My original thoughts on who the killer was always kept alternating. It went from Aura and Yuri, to Candice being the one who was doing everything but suddenly dying, all the way to me thinking it was actually Clay because the picture that showed the phantom kind of looked like him, and I thought it would be a big twist. I was always trying to figure out who the killer was.
I always thought Aura because how in the end she's in prison, but in reality, she was arrested for the hostage situation
Go watch LA Noire. It requires better thinking and more interesting. Ace is dull.
@@element021993 unlucky, get better, you just crying behind your monitor
Nah it wouldn't be those 4 you're talking about. For aura and clay, they are both currently in their early 20s which means they would have been teens if they pulled off the first HAT 1 incident. Also, Clay would have failed his mission and the phantom would be dead if he was the phantom. Candice also died during the HAT 2 incident, and she also fought the killer. Yuri, was way to invested in the space station to do an attack on it. If anything, he was the victim of the phantom. The last person I was suspecting however was FullBright. He was suspicious, but I figured he was acting suspicious for secretive investigative reasons similar to other detectives in other Ace Attorney games.
Oh hell yeah! Congratulations on finishing the game man, this was indeed a pleasure to go through.
Blackquill keep calling the phantom fool bright even tho blackquill himself was the fool bright all along getting tricked by the phantom
Usually with the right set of circumstances, blood can be preserved for months, but with the rock in a special capsule in space for seven years, it's highly likely that the blood would be preserved in that kind of hermetical space. Blackquill would go full Trevor Phillips rage on Fulbright
Or possibly Freddy Krueger'd him
The hell? That is the twitsted twist i have ever seen! He's so manipulative and great at mimicking others. The fact that his coworkers never realise a single thing that off from him mean he's a dangerous spy. He's mistake is not destroy the real Fullbright's body, others seems pretty thought of and he could've got away. So this is how dangerous a psychopath is, you never knew behind their facade until it's too late. Oh my god, i'm not not gonna used to evil Fullbright. And the people in court seems pretty chill despite someone got shot. I guess they lack survival instinct. Nice, pro. I hope you would continue it in the future.
For real, I agree with Patrick when he said that psychopaths are the most dangerous killers, for the simple fact that they can put on a nice personality with no sweat, and everyone around that individual would be none the wiser.
Also, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection is coming in September, so it looks like by the time Patrick wraps up Spirit of Justice, we should be close to September. So I won't be complaining about having a steady flow of Ace Attorney content from the Pro into next year, tho I don't know how long the Investigations games are themselves.

Saddest thing is that no one ever figured out anything so Bobby must have been a real earnest dummy who believes in justice
I wish at the end, we got to see the phantom's face, and he gave us a detailed explanation of his actions and motives.
And apparently research shows that psychopaths can be good people heroic if you think about it
can't believe it was fullbright too, i choose detective armes at first because it's hard to believe.
This is my perspective, but if you hold the magatama and ask the Phantom: Who are you? It would show him having at least 20 black psyche locks because we know nothing about him, even he doesn’t even know who he is so that secret must be buried deep at the bottom of that endless abyss. On the other hand, if you ask: who are you working for, it would show 10 red psyche locks because as a spy, he cannot reveal the organization he is working for or the organization will hunt him down to silence him.
In addition, the reason the Phantom can jump a distance of 20ft is one, he was professionally trained for scenarios like this since he is a notorious spy. Two, he was fully equipped with tools that make it possible to jump and grab onto the ladder like the grappling hook wristwatch he was using.

Injustice we trust when you get the context of who he is that catchphrase is so telling of who fullbright is
That was a hell of a finale! By all means, Patrick, take as long as you need before you start up Spirit of Justice, and from looking at the animated cutscene for SoJ, it gives me the impression that it's gonna be a little different from AJ and DD.
- Fullbright, who was actually the phantom impersonating him, had me completely fooled! At first I thought he really was a goofy idiot, and there was even at one point I started wondering if it was just an act, then I personally retracted that suspicion, and when it turned out Fullbright really was the one, I thought, "damn, I WAS right to suspect his behavior and personality as being an act!
- Yeah, if I ever watch this playthru again, it's gonna be so creepy noticing the foreshadowing!
- Kind of a bummer though that while the phantom was caught, we STILL never find out his TRUE identity.
- I'm with Patrick when he said in the previous video that the cops in the AA universe are really stupid, that they never bothered to look more into the security footage!
- how many masks did the phantom actually have on his face!?
- it was really cool seeing Simon's cuffs get taken off him. I can't imagine the weight he must have felt being lifted off his shoulders.
- Speaking of Simon, I was definitely wrong about him. I really thought he was a cold blooded criminal and an asshole on top of it, but I guess one could say he might have neen putting on a bit of an act himself as part of his efforts to help protect his mentor's daughter, Athena. If you ask me, that's quite an honorable thing, even if he was gonna be executed for a crime he didn't do.
- also cool that Simon, Aura, and Edgeworth were watching the rocket blasting off in the sky, and seeing the rocket launch itself makes me think of the song, "Major Tom."
- One thing that really pissed me off was when the phantom destroyed that psyche profile, which was evidence. Destroying evidence in the middle of court should have been automatic grounds to be arrested, but no one did anything!
- and one more thing, that music during that realization who the phantom really was, i agree it was very eerie.
And that is all I got for now. I'll be looking forward to Spirit of Justice, man! Take it easy, Patrick, and everyone here.
I think the reason that the phantom doesnt know his own face is because of the mask he wears 7 years ago it said that if you wear that mask you will become the phantom and you dont know what is the your real face
So for the next game, the DLC is after the main SOJ, so you can finish the story before jumping onto special case.
Also what's your opinion on prosecuto Blackquill by the way, because he is generally loved by the AA community alongside Edgeworth and many others too.

Below is a list of theories based on my opinion about how the Phantom chose Detective Fulbright as the target to disguise:
I have some theories that may be reasonable for this video, specifically.
I may think:
1. The Phantom have done extremely thorough research before this Event.
2. The police he infiltrated may be a direct order from someone who hired him or just a place he determined as suitable to infiltrate. Which is more suitable, I still don’t know the specific details.
3. The Phantom targets *SPECIFICALLY* at Detective Bobby Fulbright.
The reasons of choosing Detective Fulbright to infiltrate the Police are:
1. Bobby’s task of being in charge of Simon Blackquill who is currently doing investigations along with Edgeworth to uncover who the Phantom is. This means that the Phantom is able to keep an eye on Blackquill as this is Fulbright’s mission.
2. Fulbright’s position as Detective which allows the Phantom to gain access to many types of information such as cases files and documents, reports, crime scenes, evidence, testimonies, databases etc. without raising many suspicions.
3. Fulbright’s profession makes it possible for the Phantom to make progress with his mission as an International Spy without much hindering because despite disguising as a Detective, the Phantom can easily slip pass many suspicions due to not having as many workloads and pressure of the occupation he pretends to have as someone who is a much higher position of the law like Edgeworth or in a lower position like a regular officer which can be a huge obstacle for his job as a spy such as having a tight schedule, going to meetings, seeing many peoples especially the press, doing paperwork, having to go to many places that is unrelated to his missions, etc.
4. Bobby Fulbright’s expressions are easy to disguise the Phantom’s identity. Particularly, his over-the-top expressions of emotions, his manner of speech and his devotion to justice make the perfect cover for the Phantom, who is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE. This means that without credible evidence or testimonies, everyone will think Detective Fulbright is the last person on Earth to be the Phantom.
5. Bobby Fulbright is not known by many people, especially those that appear during Dual Destinies. This makes it easier for the Phantom to pretend because he is not recognizable by many people. Moreover, he does not have any unique way to identify like other detectives such as Gumshoe or Ema who give out nicknames or speak in a friendly, specific manner towards specific individuals, as mentioned in the video. Thus, the Phantom was able to fool everyone, even someone who knew him before, as he can speak like the real Fulbright while calling out names formally as usual. Because if he pretends to be someone else such as Gumshoe in this video, he may become suspicious by anyone that deeply knows the person he disguises such as Edgeworth or Lana.
6. Detective Fulbright’s attire allows him to conceal himself without any suspicions. To be specific, Fulbright’s suit, minus the head, is like a Hazmat suit because it doesn’t reveal any part of his body. This prevents any DNA from the Phantom’s body like hair, sweats, skin cells, blood, etc. from falling out. In addition, Detective Fulbright is always wearing gloves, which also prevents any fingerprints from being left behind anywhere. Moreover, with his body fully sealed, the Phantom only needs to wear a mask without having to disguises the rest of his body because the body is harder to disguise than the head or face. This means that the Phantom can safely conceal his identity without fearing that his DNA will be left behind anywhere which can reveal his identity while the head is not a problem because it is literally a mask so it will not have any DNA on it while prevent sweat from forming.
Overall, Detective Fulbright is the perfect target for the Phantom to overcome the following obstacles and gain the flowing goals:
1. Overseeing Blackquill.
2. Gain information.
3. Continue his mission as International Spy while in the disguise.
4. Give out the right expressions without suspicions.
5. Say the right thing in a right way because you can pretend to be someone but you are not them, meaning you don’t know everything about them.
6. Prevent any DNA on his body from falling out while only need to disguise his head.
So, yeah. That is my theory and summary of how the Phantom entered the Storyline of Dual Destinies by choosing Bobby Fulbright as his disguise to infiltrate the Police. What happens after that is depicted in the Storyline of Dual Destinies.
Just so you know, this theories I made a few months ago while watching a different video but it still explains the reasons in this video, so I decide to put it here.

So there's no need to play it before the main story?
Pro needs to play more games with GAMEPLAY!
@@Randomly_BrowsingYep. There is one DLC case and two shorter what ifs. One for Apollo and the other for Phoenix.
So anyone can do main cases and still be in chronological order.
@@element021993 and you need some copium
Interesting that if you look back with the knowledge that 'Fulbrights' plan was to get rid of Blaquil the whole chemistry between this two characters shines in new light.
Regarding the question about ' will phantoms identity ever be revealed'- sorry but no.
Did you really think that a psychopath has no feelings whatsoever? No no no psychopath can’t have feelings. Yes they can for their family.
Not really. Psychopaths feel no empathy for anyone. Dimitri is a prime example. Dimitri is the type of person who would sell out his own family. He doesnt care.
@@ping5258 and the other side is Trevor, despite his insanity, there's still an emotion on him
@Randomly_Browsing Trevor isnt a psychopath. Hes a sociopath. Sociopaths are different to psychopaths
@@ping5258 oh ok
Basically too diverse a spectrum of being a psychopath.
Spirit of Justice DLC takes place after the main game, I think.
Yes, they went to Nepal
I does, just to confirm
@@Randomly_Browsing The country in Spirit of Justice where they go to is probably based on Bhutan as well. It is near Nepal and borders only India.
So the location is right too
Not a game. Its a boring sideshow.
@element021993 It's an Visual Novel. They are a genre of Video game, I think.
It's debatable. However, 'boring slideshow' it is not.
The BIGGEST video, but it was great
True
Not really. Boring show with low views.
Like Pro said A psychopath could be anyone
Play Ace attorney 6's dlc case after completing the game cuz it's chronologically that way
My favourite out of the 3 games is ace attorney 6 without spoilers
Ace attorney lore video when haha
What
What
lol I'll be waiting for it
@@mohammed_the_train_spotter If its a phantom lore video Ill lose it
No lore vids. Ace is boring with low views.
Hey professional have you seen miles Edgeworth investigation can't wait for you to cosplay as miles Edgeworth
Yes, he'll play it when it release
I'm kind of looking forward to the collection but the official names for some characters in the sequel kinda sucks compares to the fan translation, but I don't think it will be a problem for Pro as I think he said that he never played the investigation games.
@lhwgt0780 yeah but remember I don,t think they come out in america and of course ace attorney is always a handheld tell me do you own a Nintendo Ds or psp back in the day
@@LHWGT07Some of the modders are already waiting for the release, so they can modify the names to fan translation ones.
Niceeee
Except element
@@Randomly_BrowsingI think the element guy gave up after the news of the AA Investigations collection came out. He has to know Patrick is gonna play those too
@@eric1911a1 so, did we win? Did we banished that guy to the shadow realm?
Ace is tedious. Go watch LA NOIRE.
8:29 *cough cough* kristoph gavin.
This is karma phoenix, right now he knows Athena less than kristoph and you accused him of being the culprit in his FIRST TRIAL. It only makes sense if he doubts Athena, after all he's slightly doubtful of phoenix for giving him forged evidence.
If you enjoyed this case, you will definintely enjoy the whole investigations series especially the second game
Of course
I enjoy LA Noire more.
After this game off we go to spirit of justice and i dont know how the pro would react considering there are a lot of spiritual things
What? Maya isn't weird enough
@@Randomly_Browsing what I meant is that I am afraid that just the professional wouldn't like it
@@maxgameinfinity5231 He's played the original games and really likes them, which also have a lot of spiritual things. I don't think he'll mind lol
@@Yukivee guess he gonna get even more shocked when he find out a big plot twist at case 5 in spirit of justice

we really should start taking lesson when ace attorney games make the detective appear to be dumb they're secretly super genius in disguise huh 😅(also herlock sholmes back in great ace attorney for example )
What even happened to the real Bobby Fulbright?
I don't even wanna think about that
Murdered
@onlyechadt By who?

I never expected that twist
My scariest thoughts was it took a year to identify the body of Bobby. Whatever the phantom did to him was especially brutal

He said he will in other comment

WHAAAAAAT?!? O_O
the phantom's organization was never revealed, as was his name and identity cause he's probably supposed to be mysterious
