      @@GingerOnWheels yeah...I think so! Def good things too come! Just watch out for gravel/sand on paths, carpets, bigger holes might throw you off and always be sure that you have enough space between the end of a footplate and an obstacle (also important when off road and turning) because once you hit something with a footplate it's nearly impossible to not fall off. ;) and you're set!

    This would be a good “final mile” for someone who can’t carry a scooter on public transportation. I’m wondering if boots with more ankle support would help, but yeah without being able to adjust your feet throughout the ride, I bet they are really sore and this would have to be more for short trips or just for fun. Definitely probably get a workout on muscles you didn’t know existed. This old man will stick to 2 wheels for now. Thanks for the intro to this and I agree used might be the way to learn on one of these.

    @60viking Před 4 lety

    Great but about the head turn. We do go so if your crashing try not to look at the ground or other obstacles. Feel the glide. Ps. Im upgrading to this or the F any time now. Ps. You said "these things are easy to get used too. I find young people have no problem, us senior citizens have natural fear of physical dama/recovery and deteriorating balance. Well I've been riding a year with a long learning curve my balance is better and the safety gear works, i don't want to shatter. I watched cause a v8 will likely be my next wheel and seeing how beatup yours is i like the endurance. I think i might miss speakers.

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  Před 4 lety

      I'm not sure how big your wheel is now. But after 5 or 6 rides on it I'm ready for something bigger. It's a great wheel to learn on and practice balancing and turning at low speed. But it's not stable past 15mph or so. Takes a lot of work to keep it straight. I'm tall though so it might just be me. 6'2". There is also an ankle pad accessory that you can buy for this wheel that I don't have on there so maybe that could help. But. I rode a bigger 1500watt wheel and it was sooo much more comfortable and easy to use.

    You give me hope! I am waiting for my first wheel and it seems that most people are taking a long time to get to beginner, you were off and running really quick. Did better than me. I made the mistake of riding in a bumpy grass field though. I ended up having the EUC pedal bite me above my hightop boots and just below my shin guards. Got me very hard and my ankle is swollen and sore still a couple days later. I will have to try again on a parking lot. Good job though.

    • @GingerOnWheels
      @GingerOnWheels  Před rokem +1

      Oh yeah, all part of the learning curve. High top boots help for Achilles bites, but your shins and legs will be a swollen bruised up mess if you learn like most. I swear my shin bones still have ridges and bumps that weren't there before ...
