Jacques Dominique Wilkins (January 12, 1960) is an American former professional basketball player who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Regarded as one of the greatest small forwards in NBA history, Wilkins was a nine-time NBA All-Star, a seven-time All-NBA Team member and is widely viewed as one of the most acrobatic slam dunkers in NBA history, earning the nickname "The Human Highlight Film".[1] In October 2021, he was honored as one of the league's greatest players of all time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.[2] Wilkins is the leader in most years with the Hawks for 12 seasons, the most games played with 882 in Hawks franchise history, the most minutes played with 32,545 in Hawks franchise history, the most career points in Hawks franchise history with 23,292 points, and the most points per game with 26.4 in Hawks franchise history.[citation needed] He is one of 7 players to average 25+ ppg in 10 seasons. He was an above average rebounder as well. Wilkins led the NBA in scoring in the 1985-86 season.[3] In 2006, Wilkins was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In addition to his 11 seasons with the Hawks, Wilkins had short stints with the Los Angeles Clippers, the Boston Celtics, Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League, with whom he won his first titles (the FIBA European League and the Greek Cup), Fortitudo Bologna of Lega Basket Serie A, the San Antonio Spurs, & the Orlando Magic before he retired in 1999. As a member of the U.S. men's national team, Wilkins won gold at the 1994 FIBA World Championship.
Shawn Travis Kemp Sr. (November 26, 1969)[2] is an American former professional basketball player who played for the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Orlando Magic in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a six-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA Second Team member. Kemp's career peaked in 1995-96, when he and Payton led the SuperSonics to a franchise-record 64 wins & their first NBA Finals appearance since 1979. They faced Michael Jordan & the Chicago Bulls, who were coming off an NBA record 72 wins. The SuperSonics pushed the heavily favored Bulls to six games before losing. In the Finals, Kemp posted per game averages of 23.3 points on 55% shooting from the field, 10.0 rebounds & two blocks. Shawn Kemp finished a close second in Finals MVP voting, almost becoming the second player to win the award despite being from the losing team. During the half time of the SuperSonics' game on November 5, 2006, Kemp was announced as one of the 16 members of the SuperSonics' 40-year anniversary team. On August 18, 2008, Kemp signed a one-year contract with Premiata Montegranaro of Italian League. He should be in the Hall of Fame!
