How do you determine that the old one is gone? The only fault code I received was a flashing L-2 everything else checks out fine. Circuit board looks like new.

Turn off the power remove the board on the backside of the board you’ll probably see a black spot the trace probably burnt off the relay. I see lots of videos on this and mine just did this so I’m gonna have to order a new relay and replace it. Whirlpool is wonderful quality the whole board is no longer available however I will change the relay itself and soilder a new one in place. the dryer is not even 10 years old I don’t even think it’s six years old in fact mine in my case.

@@justaviewerortwo2924 Just curious, how did you diagnose it was a failing relay on the board? My dryer motor will have a small rotation, then stop. Ruled out thermal fuse, thermistor and drive motor. I suspect it's something in the control board but do not have any error codes. Thank you in advance if your respond. Blessings! :)

@@MOMENTUMdnb I seen some reason that those motors had a built-in switch relay maybe that could be feeling on your motor you can always pull the motor out and have a electric motor shop check your motor to make sure it’s fine they will rule out the motor. On my control board my relay had burnt traces and blew the solder off.

@@justaviewerortwo2924 how did you get the circuit board out of the plastic holder?

@@nickmeistersa123456 there is plastic tabs on the out area of the white casing facing the board. Little tabs just push inward towards outside do one at a time gently lifting the board upwards. I believe and maybe a screw on the board.

Rock it side to side while pulling with a lot of force. You may have to use a pry tool if your fingers are not strong.
