- This is a quick video of fishing at the Boneyard right next to Jekyll Island. This is a great location for Sheepshead because of all the barnacle covered structure. Not only can you get bait by picking mussels out of the barnacles, but it also acts like a chum line to call the fish right to you!
Sheepshead are my favorite fish to eat. I've caught them out of those same pilings. I live in Brunswick.
The only way to use an anchor on a kayak lol, I’ve almost flipped with those a few times
Is it towards Brandy point? Thank you
Where is this located at on Jekyll?
Under the big bridge going towards Brunswick.
@@southernoutdoorsmd6229 How is the current for a kayak? Not to bad? Also is it a far paddle from the starting point in your video? And is it real easy to spot? Still can't see it on google maps.
@@jtoker9758 the current can be strong, but you only have to go maybe 300 yards. Go to the launch under the bridge on the way to Brunswick. Go right after you launch and pretty quickly you will see it.
Can u use a regular fiberglass bass boat ther
I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have trolling motor with spot lock. Lots of boat traffic goes by and the wake pushes you into the pilings.
Where do you put in over there?
Under the big bridge going away from Jekyll towards Brunswick.
@@southernoutdoorsmd6229 thanks went yesterday. Crappy weather and the fishing wasn’t much better just mix of small fish and tons of crabs
