    Thanks for posting, Pete. I'm constantly amazed how much stuff you fit in your R80's. I need more practice I guess (and some better quality gear - my stuff doesn't squish down quite that small, even in stuff sacks). Have a great trip, looking forward to seeing how the new R80 performs. Might have to pass my v1.0 to the wife lol.

    Awesome video man! Great adventure pack out!!! I'm looking into getting a Reckless 80 set up for my wr250r I'm going to circumnavigate the globe on. I just got back from two years of traveling through Central and South America on a V-Strom and decided to go smaller CC's and less gear.
    Question... Who have you found for your travel insurance? Also are you just using Google Maps for navigation or are you using another offline downloadable map app like maps.me?

    Great information, Pete. I saw a question already asked by davi200, but couldn't find a response. He asked, "Who did you get your travel insurance thru? What company?" Any chance you could share that gold nugget with us? Thanks.

    I'm in need of a new sleeping bag. Currently my sleeping bag takes up the most room even in a compression stuff sack.

    Maybe you already know this, but you can safely snap off the third prong on your laptop charger, then you don't need 3-prong to 2-prong adapter. It only grounds the charger brick internals and not the laptop, and the charger brick casing is non-conductive so it's not even legally required.

    Hey Pete , I have an older reck 80 that are pretty cool but I do have a question. So the side bags. Why not just waterproof the sidebags out instead of the awkwardly the awkwardly bizarre inner condome bag thingys that you stuff and twist the tops closed on. Really strange design and still not sure why that system is the way that it is?? Anyway would be interesting to hear it from someone that knows what they are talking about. Im probably way off base . (typical)

    • @MoskoMoto
      @MoskoMoto  Před 2 lety

      Hey Tim! Sorry for the delayed response here. The separate dry bags make the Reckless system a lot more versatile. You can remove the dry bags to bring them inside, or around the campfire, etc., or not use them at all and still utilize the legs.
      Above all, we take some pretty hard crashes on our Reckless systems. The leg is constructed with 1680D Ballistic Nylon with hypalon armour which protects the dry bag. There's a number of reasons we've chosen this design. Hope this helps!

    instead of jeans i carry some super light G1000 Fjall raven trekking pants. very light, 1/3 pack volume of a pair of jeans dry fast, some have safety pockets for passport papers etc...i did not see a head light ?

    11:35 No protective gear? How small is the displacement of the engine?

    • @MoskoMoto
      @MoskoMoto  Před 8 lety

      +Albert Tran Yeah no protective gear. It's way too hot here, plus it would feel weird since none of the locals have it. 200cc displacement.

      @recom273 Před 8 lety

      +Mosko Moto is it just a matter of swaping the sim ? I thought you needed to update the carrier details - so needed to be connected to computer ( which i don't like to carry ) + wifi - I was thinking to get a cheap android because of this.

    • @MoskoMoto
      @MoskoMoto  Před 8 lety +2

      +recom273 You just have to switch the sim, however you have to do it at the carriers office if you want 3G data. There's an office in pretty much every little town. Takes about 15 mins.
