I'm 68 now and I take a cot with me. It's turned into a must or it's just a miserable night. There's plenty of super light weight choices, depending on how much you want to spend. Yeah, I've used pads, air mattresses and even fir tree bedding. Still, I don't go without my cot anymore. I've bow hunted all my life so I already have everything I need for a minimalistic trip. Ride safe!

The right side water bag with the straw is my favorite part of this rig. Hydration is so key and its so easy to neglect water intake on the ride. Tenting stuff is also first out then everything goes in the tent. I have the same amount of clothes. I should carry a first aid, if not for me, maybe someone else.
Hunting scentlock base layers can go many days without letting everyone know you haven't washed in a while🤣 Also leggings while I wear knee/shin guards are a must.

A question regards the shape of the rackless soft bags in general: Do you think R80 tubular/holster design has any advantages vs Kriega OS rectangular vs Enduristan Blizzard sort of rectangular shape for orginising stuff? i know soft bags all give more or less but just thinking how effective can you pack&stuff things up without fine tuning some item has to go to a certain location or need to think about the sequence how things goes back into the dry bags.

Our trips are usually in the 2500 KM range but The off road sections slow us up. The longest day for me on the klr has been the ride back around from Manitoulin Island. 660 kms roughly and I have done that run several times now. Long day ;)

Anybody bothered by the fact the Mosko stuff is made in Vietnam or China? Giant Loop is US made but probably not as well designed. Kriega is German I think. The new Moska knobula looks like an awesome feature addition.

I've gone from hard pelican cases, to the mosko moto backcountry panniers with a pelican top case to now thinking of getting this set up.....lolz, i do like gavung the pelican top box as it is custom fitted with foam to protect my camera gear and is lockable and also locks to the top rack.
So dont know but hopefully can strap this over the back seat area and keep the pelican top box as well? Do you think that will work?
