In summer of the year 2001, UN command dispatched an expeditionary force to the war-torn Kamchatka Peninsula. Conducting a series of combat exercises alongside the Soviet Army, the deployed soldiers would find themselves caught in a series of hazardous engagements against the extraterrestrial BETA.
In the world of Muv-Luv Alternative, humanity is at war with an alien race designated as the BETA. Due to the nature of their foe, mankind has developed Tactical Surface Fighters (TSFs) to better adapt to the battlefields of this new war. However, none of this has ever stopped humanity from engaging in their squabbles against one another.

Well, her team mates aren't that bad, but I think she had problems in her (sexy) back, caused by how hard she carried the soviet front, a shame she was killed by the KGB orders, just because she knew how hard they messed up, so she was a "problematic" element, just because she really did care about her job and her people.

So it makes sense he'd become a legend. He deserves it. There WERE a ton of Soldier Class he had to deal with, as well as that Tank

Ok I can't get angry at the devs for almost going bankrupt making the VN.
There was supposed to be a really cool scene in the VN showing many battlefields (not just the Kashgar Hive) but they ran out of money so they had to scrap it and just make a quick montage instead.
I never know someone will make a intel battle in muv luv universe! I love this video!

The EML types 99 is more like a laser cannon than railgun if this is a rapid fire railgun then were the hell did they get that amount of electricity from and the battery would have been very large.
I don't think it's mentioned in the anime, but the VN states that it uses G-Elements. To the rest of the Japanese, Yokohama Base is this mysterious facility that produces all sorts of bizarre tech.

@@robertungsod691 Made by the BETA, but the process is not quite known. Probably they eat our resources and refine it into the G-Elements, which they store deep in the hive (which, if advanced enough, can launch the elements into space through unknown means, to an unknown destination)
Plus the railgun was so powerful that the carapace from the destroyer class were penetrated like it was made of paper.

nice video! I still impress by how long humanity hold in this universe, with out air superiority by almost ground forces only they hold for more then 20 years, and if they lucky (by lucky i mean which time line they get) they may even win at the end XD

@@45580677 They'd be great allies on the battlefield. Americans provide long-range support, while the Japanese pilots fight in close quarters. That's kind of the irony of them butting heads so much...like Yuuya and Yui, everyone can clearly see how much better they'd be working together except for them (at first). TDA definitely goes into this a little more for sure
@@yamamotomechbattles Plus love how point out the wider issues still the 5th Fleet was station likely around Guam or was it Okinawa I'll need to double check as need to pull back to replenish after Korea why the 7th shore up as hold out till the 5th arrive and can send in the 3rd Fleet why the 2nd Fleet head to reinforce Italy
Still right now the 7th has the latest versions a Regiment of F-14s why the 5th has 3 counting the Enterprise class that's a Regiment still wonder why no A-10s place plus we've seen F-23s in Special Operations
I'll need to check as 3 years to build a TSF Carrier so likely only 3 Fleets have them maybe 4 Fleets all book on deployments as US more reactionary and plugging the lines

I lol at the Japanese acting petulantly as if geopolitics still matters. If you don't play your cards right, there will be no more politics to be had. Period.
The issue of nationalism in the Japanese military served as a good side-antagonist for the UN in this particular story. But the Soviets were the real troublemakers, even for their own troops, "Oops, let's just cover up what they discovered by bombing our troops on accident"
wouldnt the type 99 be a good fit for a new tank?
It'd be amazing, but I think ammo, cooling, and power supply would be the main drawbacks, especially on a chassis that is less than mobile compared to a TSF
@@yamamotomechbattles I think with proper support vehicles and a bigger tank chase a tank defending a static defense line would make better use of it then a TSF behind enemy lines were resupply is not an option and the weapon makes close combat almost Impossible
why this muv luv dont have anime version on eclipse and other campaign it looks like a game story mode only or how i can watch an anime version

As much as I want to watch this I don't want to watch this just for this to become the usual anime with teenagers or some all female bullshit
Well it is late into the war and they've conscripted women, and in some places have drafted young teens as well. Less war torn nations like the US still have a higher ratio of men to women. So there are explanations. But yeah, the story is ultimately about love, buried deep beneath the violence and drama...it's not just the reason why people fight, but also why they live. The usual anime romance tropes are everywhere by this point, but it's cool if they're not your thing. I enjoy the worldbuilding first and foremost here.
More talk and drama than action...
This was one was more about the politics than the fighting. It was about the Soviets jockeying with the UN and Japan for control of the railgun, and showing how the USSR was willing to sacrifice their own people and even let the BETA take over a base just so they can get the tech. The battle was a background thing, but the real conflict of the arc was preventing the Soviets from getting what they wanted. I portray it as a straightforward battle here because I'm telling it from a fictional war historian's POV

Technically, it's literally watchable because you can see it onscreen. But yeah, this was my second of these videos so there was an audio issue in the editor...all it took was a quick fix in future vids. Ah well, I liked this one as well
