- A brief fly-by video as I stopped on the way to Galway. Athlone town is well worth a visit if you are visiting Ireland. It has many tourist attractions as well as being central in Ireland. The Radisson Hotel in Athlone sits next to the Shannon estuary and you get fantastic views across the river from here.
