Every Christian will face their expectation versus God. Ours often create fear (if its self-willed expectations). God’s will produces peace.

Many times we are driven by our desire for self-preservation and the desire to please others and not the love of Jesus.
It’s hard to see this when God is moving in a way that we expect. We see it when God is moving in a way we do not expect.
1 John 4:17-18 - there is no fear in love (because fear has to do with “what’s gonna happen to me?”)
Any area of my life where I have fear is an area I have not submitted to God and put it under the cross.
When we lay down our lives for Jesus, leaves our life.

It’s like Elijah the fearless running from Jezebel in the caves so depressed and afraid he can’t eat. It happens to the faithful

This guy miss this one Peter was clumsy and and scared to death when Jesus didn't have his back. Peter couldn't get it right! He finally did when he wrote 1&2 Peter because of the Holy Spirit....my2$ense

Satan sifts the wheat???? I thought it was the non fallen angels who sifted the wheat form the tears???

      Luke 22:31-32
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
The Angels at the end of the age separate the wheat from the tares.
Satan ,who even tempted and put Jesus to test sifted Simon Peter as wheat.
Satan has access to mankind because of Adam. Adam gave his authority over to Satan by accepting the lie in the Garden.

@@PaulWashington..But Jesus died and now satan has no power over us. Sin does not have power anymore we are free.

@@edwardb911 Yes all of us born again and baptized in His Spirit are free. Simon Peter in the above verse was prior to Christ crucified and the Blood.
Satan is the god of this age/world but we born of God are born out of the image of Adam into the image of Christ. Free of the curse and sin. The unsaved are still subject to Satan.
