Why not put the foundation in cement? Just having the wood in the dirt means it’ll shift and move over time no?
no the dirt is compacted. it won’t move

does your wood on the court cup? if not, how do I prevent it from cupping?
The deck boards will cup a little bit. Then you just get a planer and plane them down and re-stain it. Eventually that problem will go away.
