I understand it depends on how much accurate air control for cylinder speed.
I thought if you tightened the head end down it would make the rod end extend slower and by making the rod in tight it would make it retract slower but it was the opposite that's confusing when the air going into the head end makes it extend and the air on the rod end makes it retract
How to control air motor speed (rpm)
Do you have any formula that links the opening level of the valve to the speed of the rod ?
