Is heart warming to see a mechanic going through the trouble to fully reinstate the bike to safety usage level without hardselling the owner with replacement parts!! Well done mate.
That’s sort of our ethos of the shop, we try fix it first and if that doesn’t work we replace parts but if it does work the customer has saved themselves potentially hundreds!
The world needs more bike shops and mechanics like this.
Thanks Alex!🧡
Well, Giant TCR is a perfect quality roadbike, and definitely worth for the money. never regret investing on Giant TCR.
And that's why local bike shops are so important - it's all about safety. I will also buy my next bike from a local dealer.
That’s the way!🧡⚙️
Lovely work mate 👏🏼
First time I have seen this type of content, well done for a thorough check and without any new parts. excellent job on the rear mech! Subscribed.
Thanks for watching and commenting Steppings!🧡
Hope the rider was okay! Seems like the bike managed to survive with just a few scratches, keep the content coming 👍
Unfortunately he broke his collarbone but he’s fixed now and getting ready to ride again soon
This was really satisfying! I really enjoyed seeing you take the time to perform such a thorough 'once-over'. I'd be interested in seeing you work on mountain bikes, specifically rear bearings since they see a ton of abuse.
I really like your bike services. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That was a nice job on wheel truing
Thanks Hannah!🧡⚙️
You put the P in Professional!! Awesome job
Thank you 🧡
Nice one mate . great that you spoke about the riders welfare . If it was me , a new hanger would have been better. Great save on the shifter with the heat gun .
Great as always. Cheers from Greece...
Great video! Love how transparent you are with your work!
Very professional job as always.
Very amazing content and what a spectacular bike that is! I always love the design of Giant's TCRs.
Thanks for watching!🧡
What a lovely job and thorough inspection. Nice work!
Thanks Simon, we appreciate you dropping a comment 🚲
Amazing video! Absolutely love your content mate! Always excited for the next one😁
Thanks Callum!
Lovely job this - attention to detail is spot on and that's what you want
Thank you Damien. 🧡🚲👍🏻
Love the way the content is produced! Keep it up!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Great job my friend. I was going to take it out this weekend. The weather is battling against me on that one!!! Thanks again
Wait for a day when you can give yourself the feel good factor. Nice blue sky and you come back with a smile on your face
Here for another amazing video!
Thanks for watching and commenting as always!🧡🚲
Damn, what a excellent service right there...
Quality work!
amazing job
Great work
This is really 5 star service.
Thanks! A very nice complement🧡
Brilliant work. Wish I had a LBS like yours.
Thank you Zeke. Thanks for watching 🧡👍🏻
My O.C.D. thanks you 👍
Love watching this. Love TCR’s too
Giant bikes in general are really good value. I don’t sell them, but often recommend them
@@Bikespeeds I’d love to see more carbon bikes being restored. Also brushed titanium would be great to see surface scratches buffed out. Keep up the good work, glad I found the channel
We can never predict what’s going to come through the door or indeed if the customer is happy for us to film it! But if we get one we’ll film it!🧡
Awesome job good looking bike saw it early on but has to go work so sorry for late comment owner got lucky there was worried at the start
Always a pleasure 🧡
GOOD JOB
Quality
This bike was really easy to assemble czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
Good edit bro.
PS always check for the ring of death when you drop a fork out. That is the most common cause of catastrophic fork failure on carbon steerers.
Also best to unwrap the bars and inspect for cracks etc all over as they hit the ground.
Wow! We were just discussing this comment & I said Durianrider did a video on that & then we realised who made the comment!, cycling royalty! Thanks for stopping by! 🧡👍🏻🚲

Nice vid, in regards to the hanger, is it not just worth getting a new hanger?
To anyone reading this, please buy official Giant parts on mission critical systems. I bought a nonbranded rear hanger for my Giant Propel and it snapped in two, while on the bike stand after initial installation. Thank God it didn't fail on the road. It had "5 Star" reviews on Amazon, but was total junk. Found someone who deals in official parts on Ebay, paid more, but cheap always has the potential to be very expensive.
Same frame as mine
Why was I told never to bend the disposable derailleur hanger. They are usually alloy made and bending makes them dangerously stressed.
Another great video. But am I alone in thinking that any half-sharp bike owner should be able to do all this themselves? Great for bike shops, though. Easy money. Kaching!
i wish my mechanic is that caring. I am curious what would an approx. price of such service. cheers
When it comes to the type of work we video, every bike prices differently so we tend not to publish prices so we don’t appear to under or over charge anyone with a preconceived idea because of what they’ve read in the comments. Thanks for watching!🧡👍🏻🚲
Briljant idea to cover up scratches with that foil and heat it. Any specific brand you’re using?(asking for a friend)
We use a trade wholesaler they don’t have a retail outlet.
no torque on the bottle cages?
I never torque bottle cages because if they are plastic or carbon it can break and if the riv nuts are poorly fitted they can move. I always do these tyres of fittings by feel
I crashed my bike the other day, other than a few scratches on my bars and a slightly buckled wheel, my bike came out less damaged than my face haha
I crashed a bike a year ago, the bike was unmarked, I shattered my shoulder! To be honest I preferred it that way 😂
Is this the TCR advanced 1+ with upgraded wheelset?
No idea!
Hi John this is my bike! It’s the 2021 tcr advanced 1. I didn’t go for the 1+ as wanted full ultegra (inc crank) and upgraded the stock wheels to carbon rim’s
@@benporter5716 thanks for the reply ben..That's what I also thought.. awesome bike..👍🏻.
@@benporter5716 hope you have fully recovered from the crash..
this was sooo theoretic
He looking everyting i BMX with loose bolts
How can you just shine a torch on a Carbon steerer and say it’s ok to ride? Couldn’t there be a crack or delamination that isn’t visible? I just recently had a crash at 35-40kph and broke my collarbone. Frame is aluminium but it has a full carbon steerer. Handlebars have been twisted similar to this, but I will need to replace the brand new bars and other parts I just put on before the crash. Even if a bike shop said they think it’s ok, I don’t think I want to ride the fork again.
First here
Don't you have a relative, called brewer, mike?
Seriously, just straighten the bars, check the mech and you're grand.
