  • Two places in Oregon where you can see Darlingtonia in their natural habitat. The first is just north of the town of Cave Junction at Eight Dollar Mountain (Josephine County). The second is on the Central Oregon Coast in the city of Florence. Both places are easily accessible and open throughout the year.

No terrariums. No myths. No nonsense. Get the straight facts from guys who grow and propagate thousands of carnivorous plants every year, since 1995.

I had the privilege of going to the one in Florence a few years back. I also got to see the one in the smith river alliance last summer. Always amazing to see them

I know of an enormous colony of these near O'Brien, OR. I will not tell where it's at as I'm sure collectors would converge on the site.
There are also many neat native plants there, including the very rare Cypripedium Californicum (California Ladyslipper orchid). I also saw
many beautiful specimens of Darlingtonia while driving by Mt. Shasta in CA... they were actually growing in fields around the
mountains base and in the drainage ditches along the road, some enormous... the largest Darlingtonia I have ever seen.

This is amazing! I'm so glad to see that they are growing wild in more places than the one tiny bog in Florence (I do love that bog though).

My favourite species of carni. plants. Its a shame they are so hard to take care for.

They aren't really hard. They are just a little tricky

Nice, I hope they patrol the area to discourage "collection"

Also do you think the florence bog plants are truly native, or possibly introduced long ago? I was always under the impression that almost all darlingtonia lived in the mountains where they get a hard winter dormancy
