THE PREPARATION:
For this technique you need 2 waterproof pens.
One with a thin tip for the outlines and one with a thicker tip for the surfaces.
Permanent markers or acrylic pens are good for this.
You will also need a ruler to draw the lines.
HOW TO DRAW:
First you draw a thick frame. You can also colour the edges completely black. I didn't do that in the video just because of time constraints :) Then you mark the middle points of the sides and connect them together.
Now you mark 1/4 of the track at the vertical center line and draw lines from there to the centers at the left and right border. Now draw 5 lines for each side through the half diamond. Make sure that the lines are further apart on the inside and closer together at the edge. This increases the spatial effect. Draw horizontal lines along the edge of the rhombus, exactly where the lines meet. Now you can see a very clear 3D effect.
Finally, for the grid, draw 2 lines for each corner from the center at the left and right edges down and up. This creates the floor and the ceiling. Then you paint the areas in a checkerboard pattern.
