Another thing. If Vini wants to win the ballon d’or he needs to add some common sense to his game that no coach can teach. He will keep staying wide on the left when he knows 3 players are marking him. Change up a little bit and move closer to Bellingham so the two of you can play off each other. I don’t know why he thinks he always has to dribble players on the left. This is getting ridiculous. Against an elite defender like Kyle walker, he won’t get the time and space to dribble on the left side. He has to learn this by himself.
Actually, staying wide and defenders chasing him,is good for jude running from behind.
But that happens if you had another guy on the right,but we did not have that esp on the first half.

Also its getting really frustrating how they keep passing the ball back and forth really slowly next to Lunin rather than getting the ball out of the back quickly. Kept doing that with Atleti until they eventually equalised

Real Madrid needs to find another coach. Carlo Ancelotti is most times tactically outclassed by top and average coaches.
One thing to note is Madrid were never behind in the two legs, if Madrid went behind, they would have been forced to turn on the style and would probably have won anyway. The same thing happened to city, they conceded two goals to Leipzig at the etihad and they had to switch on to come back in the game.
5 mediocre games in a row since beating Girona 4-0 to make a statement. 6 goals scored in those 5 games and 4 goals conceded, 2 wins 3 draws. Madrid can’t carry on like this

Fran Garcia and Brahim should played for better attacks. Also Ancelotti still haven't tried Güler for real, while Rodrygo can get away with horrible performance.

Leipzig are low key one of the best teams in the tournament. I was already wary of them after watching them play city at the etihad. They could easily have beaten city had they not missed clear chances as they did in this game.
Carlo got it all wrong today. From I saw the lineup, I was very disturbed. Did I think we were gonna lose? Not really. This is the crazy thing about UCL clashes, especially 2nd legs. If teams are leading, we tend to go into lead preservation mode, which is never pretty. How we played in the 2nd half with Rodrygo and Joselu coming on and, of course, Modric was how we should have started, we are an attacking team, being defensive is needed now and then but I was really thinking we should have tried to score 2 early goal then grind the life out of the game. Taking nothing away from Leipzig, though, they came to play, and why not? It's just a single goal deficit. But they really are not that good.
If this is the performance expected for Quarter final, then we will have humiliating loss against good teams
It was a lu k we sail through the rough tides. Anceliti is joker and this was why dropped out of the copa competition. I think the players are fatigue. He should try the young players to allow the first team to recover as we get into competition. Psychologically, the morale of the young players is dwindling down.

This team managed by Ancelotti struggles significantly when faced with high pressing tactics. Typically, our encounters in La Liga involve playing against teams that employ either a low or middle block, against which we generally perform well. The only time we played well against high block this season, was barcelona but they overdid it and got punished. Moreover we even somewhat struggled against Real Sociedad in the first half of the season, they got tired after the first half, that's how we won.
High block and intensive pressing is RM's biggest weakness.
Also remember Man city? They suffocated us with high block.

Yes we played badly but there is always a day for bad games and bad tactics because no team or coach is perfect all the time and the most important thing is that we went through to the quarter final and we will definitely learn from our mistakes when playing our next opponent or in any other competition. The starting formation and tactics were just garbage. Absolute nonsense. Ancefloppi somehow always manages to come up with these stupid ideas that always fail miserably. For me this was a loss, and it was a very heavy loss.

Rudiger is good but he cannot play from the back like militao and sometimes blasts the ball even when there is no pressure on him. Militao will look up and pick a good pass. Tchouameni should not start next to Kroos NEVER! He doesn’t have the chemistry or a way to control the midfield. It has to be Valverde next to Kroos! This is how we played the best football this season. Tchouameni only as a CB or bench. I don’t see him playing as RM midfielder.

Sort of 442 hybrid in defense that changes 433 on the attack or 2242 with full backs. Even with diamond they played their best games like that. Kroos with the quality and valverde with legs were MILES better than any other pairing there. This is they KEY im telling you. You want to see Real win this is the only way!
