SubhanAllah! While listening to the explanation about noor and diya, a beautiful analogy came to mind. The noor that ibada gives us is like the noor of the moon (a reflected light). So noor comes to us as a reflection of Allah's noor as we get closer to him. It brings about peace in our hearts. Allah akbar

    The Messenger (ﷺ) said:
If one of you finishes from the last Tashahud ,
then he should seek refuge with Allah
from four things : he says:
    Allaahumma ‘innee a’oothu bika
    min adhaabil-qabr,
    wa min ‘adhaabi Jahannam,
    wa min fitnatil-Mahyaa wal Mamaat,
    wa min sharri Fitnatil-Maseehid-Dajjal
O Allah, I take refuge in You
From the punishment of the grave,
And from the torment of the Fire,
And from the trials and tribulations
    of life and death
And from the evil affliction of
    Al-Maseeh Ad-Dajjal
    (Al-Bukhari)

    Shaddad bin Aus narrates:
The Prophet ﷺ, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is:
a‘udhu bika min sharri ma sana‘tu,
    abu-u laka bini‘matika ‘alaiyya,
    wa abu‘u laka bidhanbi
    faghfirli,
    fa-innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta
    O Allah,
    You are my Lord;
There is no Diety except You.
You created me and I am Your servant.
And I abide by Your oath and promise [that I may honour it] to the best of my ability.
I seek refuge with You from every evil I have committed.
I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin,
    so forgive me,
for surely there is no one who can forgive sins except You.
    (Sahih al-Bukhari)
