- what a hypocrite I am.. sadly I broke it within the first 45 minutes.
So yes were slowly turning into a Honda boy, we have drove many of the desireable 'versions' and I want to keep that going; so today we have a Supercharged DC5.

The thing is with Hondas is that out of all of them the EP3 I'd say is the least interesting or "cool" and the reason you dislike the steering is because the two models you've driven (EP3/DC5) have naturally got pretty distant steering racks. The old stuff like the EG's, EK's, DC2's and NSX's are absolutely god-tier compared to the EP3. The only 00's Civic I'd say is worth shouting about is the FD2 Saloon.
Just a thing I've noticed with some of the people that don't like Hondas (not you specifically lol) but a lot of people say modern hot hatches need manual boxes, but when they drive a car like an older Type R that really demands you to work it through the gears as much as possible due to the high rpm/lack of torque people still complain because they think shouldn't have to do that, when that is the whole point of a high-revving N/A engine with a fairly low displacement, hence why people say they feel slow. I feel like if people are used to turbos which generally don't require the amount of work for the performance, they struggle to adapt to N/A. Just an observation, not a criticism haha - solid video Lee 👍

Lee I never had any problem with my steering rack bud , ep3 Honda’s are one the best handling Honda’s , with x brace in the back lower control arms underneath and lowerd 40 mil and mine handles perfect on the back roads, drive an ep3 Honda that has a rbc intake manifold , 70mil tb ,4-2-1 Manifold wit full excaust system and grupe m induction kit and bigger Walbro fuel pump ,255 bhp NA ,, you could put bigger cams in and be close to 300 with no super charger, mines 249 bhp with just few bolt ons

Just bought an fn2 type R today and I’m so stoked. Not much to some but for me it’s a goal I’ve been looking to hit since I knew what a kseries and bseries was!
K series are Rover engines.
Sounds mint but doesn't sound like its super charged. Officially Gassed sounds the nuts!!
Jackson type supercharger is on top so mite be louder,and the rotrex are normally at bottom and the back off the engine so not as loud,??

Compered to O,G'S Jackson that's right in front off the bonnet 👍
markcozzie this is loud trust me. But you don’t get the supercharger whine like you do with the Jackson. Better intake temps with the Rotrex setup too

I also did say in another post only if could get O,G's DC5 and this car together and compare supercharger kit's?, (yeah people say the rotrex kit is better bc it's intercooled/Jackson kit not,),but depends what rotrex supercharger kit you have as tts performance sell stage1/2/3/4/5 ect ect ect. .
That will teach you for doing 100 in a 40 speed limit 😂 to be fair I did the same on these haning field back roads 👍 keep up the good work

Shell has a policy when they have a fuel truck coming if they only got a smal forcourt they close it off so no customers are there so the lorry is clear to fill the tanks this will be why pal i know its a pain sometimes i myself had to coast another 9 miles on empty in my evo lmao

DC5 steering should be pretty tight. Drive a DC2 or any 90s civic for better steering, double wishbone. DC5 arent that expensive for what you get, get one n/a with some nice mods for 8k

Tbf I fee the same despite owning a Megane R26 currently as well as my awd cars. However they make some fantastic fwd cars and most rwd or awd cars are a bit heavy and bloated compared, although modern fwd cars are also bloated and heavy.
think you need to drive and older civic dc2,ef9,crx ,ek9 ,eg6 ,s2000 then it may change your mind totally different cars compared to the dc5s and ep3 fk8s etc etc

Probably the perfect blend for a daily/track car imo.
I like them, but my spine can't take the ride, the one I was in felt so hard, after 15 mins I felt pins and needles.
@@bign3ck never experienced the ride with the standard suspension. But I do hear that a lot!
Mine has the eibach lowering springs, and the ride is fantastic.

People forget there just 16 valve engine na 2.0 litre ,non turbo or supercharged , why people love Honda’s is because they can take upto 450 bhp in stock engine and gearbox before having to be built only thing ya would have to do is the clutch from stock ,yes I’d rather eg civic or Ef but there nearly all disappeared ,crazy since there used to be so many of them around

Each to there own opinion. But ep3s wernt built for speed. They were built for corners. Most car ethuiasts that doesn't like them will say all day they are a great handling car, steering is great if it has a good rack.. You'll never be more involved with a drivers car more than a good ep3 really
So many better hot hatches out there let alone more involving cars in general

@@kevinjbreslin4290 sorry darling but I'm not out to impress you. Have taken out instructors and friends and only ever had positive feedback since getting rid of dvla habits. Not sure what car you think is faster than what car and on what track but I have only ever been overtaken by monster track car turbo'd Hondas, never a puny N/A one.
If you have genuinely watched any of my videos (there are about 60) then I'd be interested to know which one you are commenting on. My track driving has changes a lot over the last 2 seasons. When you do a track day you will learn that not everything goes right all of the time in regards to weather, issues with brakes/tyres and letting faster cars through as well as avoiding wildlife and debris does put you on an odd line sometimes and some are cooldown laps or warmups. I am yet to time a lap on anything other than the Nurburgring which I don't know hardly at all yet as have only done around 40 laps.

@@kevinjbreslin4290 his car is modified with a totally different engine. Also he has done many more laps than me. No way would I keep up with him on the Nürburgring and no way he would keep up with a more experienced driver in a lesser car either. You clearly haven't been there and clearly don't know what it is like. I fly past inexperienced people in lambos and Porsches and then experienced drivers fly by me in a Suzuki swift. They say you "start" to learn the track after 100 laps, I am a 3rd of the way to that perhaps.
Also if you crash there you can end up with a huge bill, drivers that are fully insured can afford to take more risks as you can with a full rollcage. Also the weather and amount of drivers make a huge difference, tourist days are totally different to track days there .
So many factors make such a difference there. A thousand laps on gran tourismo doesn't even equate to 1 lap in reality.
Go there and see how you get on rather than try to put people down when you don't even know what you are on about. Come back when you do. I managed a 9minute lap in my Megane on a tourist day aftet having done maybe 15 laps and was plenty happy with that, I wasn't out to break records, just to do what I could on a particular day with what I had.
Give it a go and you will be better placed to judge peoples lines etc. As a novice you will spend most of your time looking in your mirrors and keeping right and letting the fast cars fly by rather than concentrating on racing lines and apexes.

And they are the most percise steering machines i have drove appart from the aierel nomad buggy at 90 grand.
