- Is Kim Jong-il really a fanatical fan of Dick Marcinko, the Rogue Warrior? Has the terrifying tyrant actually read every one of Marcinko's manyNew York Times bestsellers?
One thing is certain: the Rogue Warrior wants nothing to do with the brutal despot. When, in Dictator's Ransom, "the loathsome dwarf"--as George W. Bush derided him--invites Marcinko to the Hermit Kingdom, the Rogue Warrior instantly declines...prompting the CIA to RSVP on his behalf. Marcinko is to track down four covert nuclear warheads secreted in the Supreme Leader's palace.
More than just a thriller, Dictator's Ransom is a novel of electrifying energy and wicked wit.
us.macmillan.co...
That's not Dick Marcinko, it can't be. He doesn't say "fuck" nearly enough.
The best Navy Seal Alive.
RIP
I met Marcinko when I was in 4th grade at the SEAL reunion at Norfolk. he signed my copy of Red Cell hardcover. It said, "Drink beer and kick ass kid"!
A true American hero. We love you, rogue warrior!
Marcinko keeps us informed about the real deal in the world today. I have all of his books in First Edition and love his writing. My 89 year old father who served 31 years in the military starting at Pearl Harbor also loves him. Dad was in the first Commando training group that eventually changed its name to Rangers. Keep up the work Richard.
Rest in peace Commander you earned it 🙏✝️🙏it was a pleasure serving with you
To Mr. Marcinco. Thank you for writing the book Red Cell 2. I found myself staying up late at night reading it. I'm a civilian, a cake eater. :-) If half the things in the book are true then I got to say you are one crazy, hardworking, foul mouth, lucky, disciplined, self expressed professional I ever heard of and you must have balls of solid rock. Anyways, I do not understand your culture but I get the feeling my Freedom is in part and paid for by Souls Like You. Thank You. :-)
i learned, among other things, other languages (words and shit) thanks to Dick! I will re-read these books because its something ill never get to do, and they are really entertaining
Even looking a little bit into this guys history, you'll find out quickly that he is a Mission Impossible character in real life. He's the 1% of the 1% of bad asses
even though most of it is likely bullshit
If half of what he writes about is true, he's badass. Obvious his writing style has a flair for the dramatic but give the guy credit where it's due. Every SEAL deserves some amount of respect.
Rest in peace Navy Seal, warrior, patriot and badass legend Dick Marcinko The Rogue Warrior, the founding father of Seal Team Six America's most deadliest shadow warriors fearless Men with Green faces defending America against all enemies of freedom everywhere by any means necessary to get the job done, win the war and protect the American people, dream and way of life.
Dear Mr Marcinko. Mad respect. We as a nation what can I do. I worry for my children / Grandchildren I'm 56 yrs old I Love my country I just want to protect what is mine President Trump was our last great hope you exsposd our weakness in our security our ports and infrastructure
Dick Marcinko is the real life John Rambo, SEAL Team commander and world's deadliest man alive, as soon as I get my hands on his action figure I'm making a stop motion chapter of Rogue Warrior.
I actually picked up a copy of Rogue Warrior for the PS3 and finished it the same day about a week prior to his passing. It was one of the most enjoyably bad rides I've been on. Rest wiell, Demo Dick.
they should make a fucking movie based on some of his books the guy is my hero
King of One-Liners.
Dick Marcinko is the baddest Navy seal warrior in the world the founding father of SEAL Team six I salute him and those who came after him for defending America against Evil killing machines born to be the best
I'm so glad we have men like him on our side!
If anything in his autobiography is at all true, this guy is among the toughest human beings alive. Hell, anybody who makes it through BUDS ranks pretty high there.
I can’t believe it’s been so long since Dick was putting out so many books. I hope we get another soon.
first time I heard about him was he was when SOF (Soldier of Fortune) magazine features 'Red Cell' in one of their edition sometime late 80's early 90s ...
we don't have internet back then, if you have an SOF magazine then you have a treasure ...
this guy is damn sure one of a kind. i still have his autobiography signed form many years ago when i was still in the marines. great guy! can't wait for the game after reading all of his books.
Ive read most of his books, They are really good reads. The setup starts to be repetitive but i think after you read so many books by an author you can get too familiar with the rhythm of the writing.. Dick Marcinko is a badass though .. huaa!!!
Dick Marcinko, one of my all time life heroes.
The original Rogue Warrior book is the best book I have ever read on SpecOps. I've read thousands of books, and still, after all these years, proclaim the book as #1.
Kickin' ass, takin' names.
Richard Marcinko is the man. Better than Tom Clancy. You better believe it. He created and commanded seal team 6. In his prime he was a full on badass.
he and his team tested the security of naval bases, nuclear submarines, ships, civilian airports and a U.S. embassy. Marcinko was directed to use his team to test the Navy's anti-terrorist capabilities. As a result he was able to infiltrate seemingly impenetrable, highly-secured bases, nuclear submarines, ships and other purported "secure areas", including the U.S. Presidential plane Air Force One, and disappeared without incident.
RIP Richard.
I read 4 of his books in the late 90's. Loved them and love this dude!
I have heard of this guy before but now I really want read his books.
they are informative, entertaining, and im glad i did
They did one think right in that they had Mickey Rourke doing the voice.
I think that was pretty cool.
Mickey Rourke is a powerhouse
Just purchased Rogue Warrior. RIP Dick😔
This guy has a Master's Degree in Badassery.
He's the Professor of Bad ASSery!
Demo Dick , you are true warrior and American hero. You are the real deal, and God bless you and what you have done fore our country.
Marcinko is the real deal. Yeah he has a screw loose at times... but this guy is a real operator who tells it like it is.
Imagine if Steven Seagal got together with some developers and brought out Under Siege: Casey Ryback or something.
Leadership: You lead from the front! His men needed gear that the brass wouldn't give him. It's been a long time since I read the book but if I remember correctly, He needed new boot laces for a H.A.L.O. (High Altitude Low Opening) jump. If you jump with beat down boot laces your boots come off. How do you accomplish a mission with faulty gear and no boots? YOU DONT. So he got the gear for his men 'Leading from the front".
is that Big Boss?
DIck Marcinko is the real deal. Has his priorities straight. Respect is something that's earned, and he has mine. It was the team created from his vision that bagged Bin Laden. I'm sure he would have been right there with them without hesitation, given the chance.
“ do u believe your own hype that much?”
Dick “I AM THE HYPE!!”
In all seriousness, guy was a badass, rip homie
@sammanzhi The first book in the series is his atuobiography..read it to find out what he has done. The other are all fiction using him as the lead.
Great novels/books!
Better than Tom Clancy!
I'm a fan, no matter what they say, including the DC beltway types. To us Marines, he was always the boogy man we had to look out for and kept us on our toes. Everyone says he has an attitude. Well, no kiddin'! Ok, show me a military person that doesn't, including myself. Just tells me he's for real. God only knows what language we'd be speaking without Richard Marcinko. Keep up the good work. Maybe next time I see him, I'll actually get his autograph...
The end credits was the only best part of the entire game.
The answer is he did and at the same time committed them at the same time, he was one of the founding fathers of the Seals and Spec Ops and in Vietnam served as many tours as he could out of both dedication and enjoyment. He's not a very soft hearted figure, he got in trouble for calling purple heart recipients weak and failures. Also had a thing for gutting bodies and booby trapping so when the Vietcong moved the body they would blow up.
this guy is FUCKING awesome!
6 GIGS For a 1 Hour Campaign and No Multiplayer. Dont Torrent it !
In today's Navy, actually for many years now, piss off the the officers, beuracracy, etc. They'll either hang your ass, discharge you (OTH), depends on sevearaty. I salute you, Cmdr. Marcinko, for all your achievements and sacrifice. I only wish to God that I could have had the honor to serve under you. God bless
I met this man at a book signing in La Jolla about three years ago. The guy can be 90 years old and he'll still be a badass...SEALS ROCK!
I've read from several sources that he was only 5'7" tall. That's not correct, is it? He looks average or just kind of short in photos of him.
love your book rogue warrior this IS the man!!
Love this game and this guys moves!!!
He spoke at a company function I went to in '97. He was a bad ass.
I've read from several sources that he was only 5'7" tall. That's not correct, is it? He looks average or just kind of short in photos of him.
@@deemann6897 It's been too long for me to remember how tall he was but I don't remember him being a short man. I'm 6'2" and he seemed full size, even compared to me.
@@garyh4458 , yeah, I figured. He wasn't proportioned like a guy who's 5'7". In his photographs he appears to be somewhere between 5'8.5" and 5'10.5": medium height plus or minus an inch.
R.I.P. 🙏
Mans a legend..I have to pick up the rest of the books..but the song in the background is beyond awesome..anyone know?
Supposedly duck was very controversial in his way of doing things. Writing his very own book even. You can't, however, argue with success. He enlisted as a 17 year old seaman and was on his way to making captain when the enemies he had made along his career came back to get him. Seems seals that he worked close eith, that were under his command, were doing controversial things that stepped into the realm of illegal.
Previously epic beard now looks like a sponge in the face of a hippie.
Cool Thing Is, I got to Met This Guy a few years Ago, And Now I hear he's got a Game Coming out... I'm Psyched.
If i see him anywhere,i would totally beg him to say
Fucking wind is so cold it'd freeze the balls of a fucking polar bear
RESPECT!
You are great.
this man is a nightmare to those who mess with him.ultimate warrior.just read his auto bio rouge warrior.god help his enemies.
He's THE MAN!!! WHEN YOU READ ABOUT A BAD ASS? HE'S THE BAD ASS!!!
@douggie2238 Yeah I remember reading about the Us navy sending him to pris.guess he was doing his job to well
@pwhite7608
His books will probably become more popular now. He's a key figure in developing Seal Six after all. I read about his Rogue Warrior book in a gun magazine, is it any good?
Shark man of the delta.Marcinko is such a bad ass. Move over Chuck Norris.
Chuck Norris can't hold this man's joke
Great book. Crazy guys!
great books, must read
I got to meet him today.
@magics02 He betrayed the whole SEAL and Navy and mil community and got jailed for stealing A LOT of kit, paid for by the taxpayer he "served to protect". He is a fraud, an attention-seeker and someone who lies and cheats for money. MANY ex-SEALs who made a bigger contribution than him (yes he formed ST6 but they crafted it, they did longer in the SEALs etc) have spoken out in true HATE about him.
Just cos a guy served doesn't earn respect. Respect comes with honour and fidelity.
RIP
@Corbon440
He's the real deal. I've read four of his books...If you're into the Seals...it's a "Must Read"
Read his book it was good....
ogrebattle22763 book??? You mean books, it’s a series.
Yes it was. I really admire Richard Marcinko.

He would be a great President !!
i dont have no army exprience or anything but this guy remines me of a real life rambo lol
Fuckin Ninja Style.
@Vykuk123 What would you recommend?
My funking hero and a true American hero!!!
They are both friends!
Both me, and my grandpa before me, served in the Air Force. Grandpa served in Korea in the early 50s. And by some strange coincidence, I had to do a lot of Korean War-type exercises in my outfit.
I'd certainly love kick the crap out of some Korean Reds but I'm out of the Air Force now. I have some words to describe them but other comments have already said them lol.
Hmm. I think you need a few more years under your belt before you can understand what is happening here. So I'm going to be as nice as I can be for this comment of yours. There are a lot of deadly peps out there that want to take your life and, Your families lives without ANY consideration for your feelings. Period!! They are MEAN, NASTY, AND much bigger "scum" as you put it, than Marcinko. You have to understand leadership and the fact. We NEED the Marcinko's in this world to defend our country
Damn, Demo Dick sure looks a lot smaller than he used to. Ain't no 500# bench press going down at the Manor's weight pile anymore is there?
Dick Marcinko' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.
this guy has beastblood
Check out the books guys. The VC put a 50,000 piaster reward for his death 3 March 1969 LOL He kicked ass.
@AntonioTheHedgehog5 pure gold, pure fucking gold
hi is a numero uno respect!
this guy must have been Chuck Norris' role model cause he sure in heck is mine
Sounds cool, but Two? What's that?
Please NO MOre WAR!!
READ THREE OF HIS BOOKS
what ever happen to this man .you would think with as much counter terrorist training he has he would be more involved
Grenades are the same as boot laces.
Rock on Dickie
@mogges1 - Dick Marcinko was railroaded out of the military on trumped up charges because he scared people, most of whom deserved to be scared.
This man should be President...he will tell you how it is. :)
You know who i really want to see? Shotgun and Mongoose :D
You, good sir, are a man of culture.
How about a development team who could take it into a tactical nazy seal type root. IW..is not that dev...
