    congratulations excellent video, great accessory for your walrus of the milling machine, here in Brazil you don't have this kurt walrus, the Americans are very lucky to have only good tools, here in Brazil all bad.

    Another great video, John... Well done!
    BTW; maybe you could make a Horizontal Mill Arbor Shaft from one of the spare #30 taper collet chucks.
    LMK if you need like another one.

    your machines look .. amazing ... can you direct me to a video of yours (of which I thought I've seen'm all) where you detail your cleaning / buffing / grinding procedure to make them look as good as they do??

    • @BurtonsAttic
      @BurtonsAttic  Před 3 lety +3

      Mat it's really as simple as "clean as you go". I try to recover the machine as soon as I've completed whatever I'm making. The milling machine movie has some good content for painting etc.

    I had a bit of trouble understanding what you were actually doing with the vise, until the very end of this video. Maybe you could make a drawing, and tell us about your thought process in the beginning? Vise looks great by the way.

    Hello, I just discovered your channel today and subcribed right away! Nice content!
    Just one thing, I
    have been seeing you quite often sanding or grabbing rotating things (vfd video) with gloves... this could be really dangerous, if the glove catches, your fingers and arm will wrap in the spindle... nasty stuff
    It is actually much safer with bare hands...

    you know if you have a smaller tip on your hover nosel you will have stronger suction ? obviously u do but wonder why you don't use one? old like to see you do a project and design a Hoover pipe nosel one-day if u feel like it?? maybe a one that's got a slit for flat areas and has a sliding hole for cleaning endmils and drills on the same tip. just a thought. 👍👍👍👍

    • @BurtonsAttic

      Chips clog it to easy. If you use a small/thin cheap paint brush with the vac it works great for cleaning hard to reach areas/tools/bits etc
