I absolutely hate Shanahan. He has a huge ego. All the superbowl leads (three of them) that he's lost are because of his ego. He always choses to stop running the ball. He is always against the 9ers in the superbowl. Unlike his dad.
I would say maybe Kittle in red zone situations. He was shut down for pretty much the whole game. Niners ran the ball well but went away from it in the third quarter. If they stuck to the run they would have had more trips to the red zone for everyone including Kittle to feast.

No excuses, as a lifelong 49er fan, the best team won. I love Kittle and he is such a great tight end. I see a bright future for this group and it won’t take us long to get back. Even Vegas thinks so. We already are considered the favorite for next year. Just think the ball is oblong for a reason. Sometimes it bounces your way, sometimes not. Prime example was the punt that hit our player’s foot and gave them new life. More plays to tire our defense.

Born and raised in KC. Tbh, I counted us out. SF played a hell of a game. I was shocked SF turned over the ball with 2 mins left. But they did, and Patrick gained momentum to finish and conquer in OT with Andy's great clock mgmt. Both teams fought hard! Crazy game!!

George Kittle is a well spoken, introspection and articulate guy. He's a professional in every sense of the word and a real quality type person. I always liked him even though I'm a Chief's fan.
it is headscratching that the Chiefs defense was able to cover and blanket 3-4 All Pro offensive weapons for a whole game. They were not prepared, the energy from the defense did not rub off the offense, and the defense was just gassed at the end. I remembered the Bucs-Chiefs Superbowl a little bit in this game. Hard work beats talent if talent does not work hard, that goes to Kyle for not leading his offense to play to win, they were playing haymaker style not-to-lose.
CMC fumbled as the offense neared the SF red zone. Special team turned over the ball inside the KC red zone leading to 7. Moody missed. I don’t know what Shanahan said at halftime, but they looked terrible in the 3rd and 4th Q.

Purdy was uncharacteristically not taking the underneath routes, but maybe because of his height and the ability of the D-line batting his throws if he throws low. He was forcing sideline or jumpball throws to covered WRs. Should have used plays that do more of the flats and screens.

People typically are watching as a fan I'm watching as a Coach. What has me furious is the lack of preparation from the defensive side. Nick Bosa was not containing his Gap #1 But what was most aggretious is having the defense change the Game plan in the middle of the Game!!!
I rewatched the game and Kittle got no separation! He was a no show. 2 rec 4 yards. His injury happened later in the game. Kelce was a no show in the first half and you could see him fighting for separation in the second half. And you saw the results. Kittle was the reason we lost. Kittle was healthy when we could’ve put the Chiefs away.
They did pretty damn good for having such a young QB playing in the super bowl. Purdy, with no turnovers, had his team on the brink of victory. Turnovers cost them. Mahomes did absolutely nothing for almost three quarters until the turnover on the punt.
Dont want to talk about what couldve shouldve would've. Deebo, kittle and mccaffrey didnt want it enough. Too fkn quiet throughout the game. OL had some untimely penalties, special teams muffed the punt return opening the gates for Mahomes, Moody’s missed PAT was critical, and the lack of plays to Kittle and Aiyuk was confusing. No excuses, as a lifelong 49er fan, the best team won. I love Kittle and he is such a great tight end. I see a bright future for this group and it won’t take us long to get back. Even Vegas thinks so. We already are considered the favorite for next year. Just think the ball is oblong for a reason. Sometimes it bounces your way, sometimes not. Prime example was the punt that hit our player’s foot and gave them new life. More plays to tire our defense.

it is headscratching that the Chiefs defense was able to cover and blanket 3-4 All Pro offensive weapons for a whole game. They were not prepared, the energy from the defense did not rub off the offense, and the defense was just gassed at the end. I remembered the Bucs-Chiefs Superbowl a little bit in this game. Hard work beats talent if talent does not work hard, that goes to Kyle for not leading his offense to play to win, they were playing haymaker style not-to-lose.
CMC fumbled as the offense neared the SF red zone. Special team turned over the ball inside the KC red zone leading to 7. Moody missed.
I don’t know what Shanahan said at halftime, but they looked terrible in the 3rd and 4th Q.
In the Tampa SB Chiefs offensive line was completely decimated by injuries. I don’t think there was a single starter in their normal position

Now if Ray-Ray jumped on the ball. Chiefs don’t get 7 and that would’ve also been the difference. Niners gave this game to KC by letting them stick around.

Purdy was uncharacteristically not taking the underneath routes, but maybe because of his height and the ability of the D-line batting his throws if he throws low. He was forcing sideline or jumpball throws to covered WRs. Should have used plays that do more of the flats and screens.

I rewatched the game and Kittle got no separation! He was a no show. 2 rec 4 yards. His injury happened later in the game. Kelce was a no show in the first half and you could see him fighting for separation in the second half. And you saw the results. Kittle was the reason we lost. Kittle was healthy when we could’ve put the Chiefs away.
They did pretty damn good for having such a young QB playing in the super bowl. Purdy, with no turnovers, had his team on the brink of victory. Turnovers cost them. Mahomes did absolutely nothing for almost three quarters until the turnover on the punt.
The 49ers just need a few more pieces on the offensive line. They’ll be in contention next year. Time to rest up and prepare for the next season.

Kittle wasn't involved in the offense because he was too busy having to help block because the O-line is not good enough and was a clear liability.
