".....because i trichromed it", ahaha why of course you did
Once he said rodinal....
The Trichrome hit me off guard...
Well I should have expected that, right?
Most underrated film photography on CZcams for sure. Always looking forward to the next upload!
I can't believe you actually figured out a way to shoot expired color negative 35mm in an SX70.
I love the hair-brained schemes on this channel. I don't need it from every video, but it's so appreciated when it happens.
Dennis is really good. He repaired my SX-70. and also took care of my SLR 680. While he was working on it, my SX-70 broke down. It had a one-year warranty and he resolved it neatly.
Oh. My. God. Thank you so much for the PSA right at the end there.
I almost took my Polaroid 35mm film, cut it into strips, loaded it onto a piece of cardboard, loaded that into an empty film pack, loaded the whole thing into my SX-70, did it two more times with two other broken SX-70s, and trichromed it. As any normal person would.
I have no idea what I would have done without your guidance. ❤
Just got my SX-70 back from Dennis at Chromatic parts. Amazing job, camera works like it did the day it was first opened. Also had the iType/600 Conversion and Manual Mod (works with an app or the optional dongle which I opted for because it looks sick!) One thing I noticed, and saw the same on your photos...no "spider legs". You know that weird root-like marks you get if the developer does not spread perfectly? Every shot I have taken since getting the camera back is perfect!!
Trichroming expired 35mm color film dev'd in B&W chemistry shot in a converted Polaroid camera is peak Attic Darkroom.
Some say attic darkroom is one child from a set of triplets named Red, Green and Blue.
I'm not at all surprised that you shot 35mm film in a SX70, BUT I AM pretty sure you're the first one to do it. Bravo, sir.
Dennis fixed up my cameras, can't wait to get it delivered!
Can you revisit the 35mm idea, but instead, place some Ilford 9x12 film inside a pack? It’s the exact same size as Polaroid film, so you could shoot actual black and white negative film in a Polaroid camera and get some pretty tasty looking trichomes 👌
Just a tip, you can actually place quite a few sheets of 9x12 film in a Polaroid pack, so if you tape a black bag over the eject slot, all of your film should eject into a dark bag and you could carry on taking the three images needed for a trichrome.
Just remember to put black cards inbetween each image, so that you don’t expose the image underneath accidentally.
I love this idea. I'll have to look into this. Thanks!
Could have been made by Konica. Also if you tape an opaque black bag over the eject slot it could spit the frames out into a dark bag which you could empty later.
The trichrome bit had me actively laughing at my desk. Never change
this is my fav youtube channel
I can't wait to see what kind of weird processing you do for the new Harman Phoenix film!
BABE WAKE UP ATTIC DARKROOM POSTED
Film: Exist*
attic darkroom: So I trichromed it
I busted out laughing at the trichrome reveal.
Mate, every time I have to stop the video to read the text that’s there for a second! Gahhh.
Are you Tyler Durden?! 😂❤
You're very innovative. It's inspiring
Glad a happy ending! I have quite a few Polaroids incl. a SX-70.I will not pay that price for the film. Never!
I shoot Polaroid film in my 4x5 camera and load it back into the Polaroid camera to print, bringing the changing bag with me, it’s a bit finicky but everything 4x5 is, I guess it’s actually easier/quicker than the usual 4x5 process
Idk why i burst out laughing at "because i trichromed" it, but i should have seen it comming by now.
A+ taking a page out of the in an instant book + trichrome (once you said rodinal i knew it was coming 😂)
Great work. Love the videos
this video made me laugh so uncontrollably hard 😂😂😂
The audio on this video is noticeably quieter than your others
10/10
As a big time Polaroid enthusiast I can greatly appreciate this video. I hope you make more Polaroid related videos. Have you ever tried Polaroid Packfilm?
I enjoy messing with Polaroid stuff. I haven't tried packfilm yet, I just wish it wasn't so horrendously expensive.
@@atticdarkroom If you know what to look for it is not really that bad. Specifically old Polaroid stuff can be had for around $25/pack (10 photos) which still is not necessarily *cheap* but not horrendous.
Not an Attic Darkroom vid without trichroming some random film.
No way!
Me when you said: Because I trichromed it:
BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
if it's made in Japan, it could also be Konica film.
I've also seen polaroid film made in Germany, leading me to believe it's really AGFA film
When will we see the rest of that box of mystery film?
That's a good reminder. I'll dig through it later tonight.
This video is super quiet
Is he still doing repairs and conversions?
Have you ever tried tri-chroming kodachrome? I have some...
Yep, it looks about as bad as you'd imagine. I have a tons laying around, I've been meaning to mess around with it some more.
dennis
No comments? I can fix.
-17.2db content loudness. damn, Might wanna fix that audio gain next time
Had to put on headphones for this one lol
Yeah, that was my bad.
Yeah monstrosity
