ok but can we talk about how annoying this camera is… literally every time i take a pic it just automatically auto sharpens it and it looks so terrible
I wanted to vlog with my iPhone 12 Pro Max and I had no idea how to get the most out of it cause this is my very first iPhone so thank you very much. This has been sooo helpful.
I’m just very underwhelmed by the camera preference of 12 pro max. It’s good quality camera with horrible programming. Whatever you do the camera add this hdr layer on every photo. Also the contrast and sharpness is way overboard, and the hue is off most of the time. I end up spending double time to calm down the pictures rather than being a help. Maybe is good for nature photography but definitely not good when it comes to portrait or street style photography.
Dolby vision is actually for every iPhone in the 12 series not just the pro! The difference is the pro can do up to 60fps and the normal can't! (Presumably for ram reasons)
i have the 12 pro max and the photos suck if you zoom in the resolution drops dramatically. i don’t understand it. this phone is suppose to be incredible for taking pictures. i don’t what the settings should be set at but i’ve watched a few videos to optimize the image quality, but zooming in shows how horrible the quality really is. what do you recommend to raise the zoom quality to its maximum?
@@apkumar26 : you lost me. 0.5, 1X or 2X. and a higher mag whaaaaat? please explain where to go in the settings and what to look for, and when should these be used or should they stay that way? thank you
THANK YOU FROM SHOWING ME EXACTLY HOW MY IPHONE 12 CAMERA SETTINGS WORKS. TO BECOME AN GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER YOU HAVE TO BE TAUGHT BY AN GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER :)
thank you so much for this, i had iphone12 for 3years already, but i didnt really explore the camera and video setting, its good content for beginner like me.
I say yes 👍 it takes up more room but to me it just looks more vibrant so I keep mine on most compatible unless you are shooting in 4K at 60 frames a second I put mine on at 4K 30 frames a second and most compatible
Thank you for this, I have the 12 Pro Max, due to lockdown I haven’t really had a chance to fully test the camera, but I found your settings useful as I’ve wondered especially scene detection, should it be on or off for better pics, I don’t like the live focus either. Also useful re most compatible setting, so, thank you again I’m off to re set my settings now, cheers! 👍🏻🙂xx
I use Live mode all the time because it allows me to do long-exposure shots of water. I also use the filters because I shoot in b&w square and the iPhone allows me to preview the photo in b&w, yet retains the color in the file so I don’t lose any data. The problem with shooting the video using the press & hold shutter is that it never seems to shoot the video in 4k - so you lose video information when shooting video that way..
Great video I’m even more excited too take pictures and videos now that I know how too customize my picture and video settings too get the best of the iPhone camera
I have battled back and forth for literally weeks. I have a 13PM as my daily driver. But I also use another iPhone for a dash cam ( yes I know they make dash cams - having another iPhone is just easier for me to keep/save videos I may need ) well I have an iPhone SE 2022 - and I have an iPhone 12. I absolutely can’t decide which is BETTER! In my opinion from what I’ve seen using both the little SE is better at taking video. It seems like the video stabilization is far better. Everything I read online tells me I’m wrong and the 12 is superior. The only thing I can think of is MAYBE since the SE is smaller it doesn’t move/bounce as much on the mount, and maybe the 12 bounces more. It just seems as if the videos on the 12 can be grainy and the SE is more clear and stable. Am I crazy?
Love the channel bro. Tom holland jokes aside keep up the good work. Most iPhones can view dolby vision even some monitors which is weird. I have an old dell that views dolby Vision but the 2016 iPad Pro is solid white can’t see with a dolby vision video.
The high efficiency HDR is in my normal 12. Should I switch it on or not? I shut HDR for my photos because it made my photos blurry. Should I do the same for videos?
Thank you.Great Stuff. Nice UK Countryside too. I wish I could turn off Live Photo permanently, or at least as default. It still appears when I fired up my 12pro. I don't like it! Any ideas?
Settings>camera>preserve settings>toggle Live Photo on. That means if you click Live Photo to be OFF when in the camera app, it will always default to off unless you click Live Photo’s to be on in the camera app, which will then default to always on.
What settings would you recommend for an indoor concert? Big stage that I’m not anywhere near. So I’ll be taking a distant pic of the artist performing
No keep it at 4k 30 frames a second i use that as well keep it on that unless you need more space then drop down to 24 frames at 4K If you have enough room keep it where it is
Love that u didn’t even showed the flash. Especially as it’s worthless and literally not usable at all. My iPhone 8plus takes 1000x better flash photos. And in many settings flash is a must to get any quality.
Hi, I have just noticed that when I look at some picture I did and I tap on “modify”, the picture get more bright when I am into the modify menù. This only happens with taken pictures, so not with screenshots or received photos. Do you know why is that? I have an iPhone 12.
This video is informative but made me sad, my Mercedes was just totaled out today 😢 but hey at least I just learned how to shoot better videos with my phone! Thank you
coming from an iphone 7 and i'm pretty unimpressed by iphone 12 camera. i can take the same pics with my iphone 7 and iphone 12 and the photos from the iphone 12 are much more blurry and are barely focused. it's ridiculous. not impressed in general by this phone honestly.

HDR video is NOT only for the pro/pro max . it is also for the mini and normal 12 but for 30 fps instead of 60 fps for the pro models.
Sorry but what is hdr video
Yea man, such a big thing and really yhe highlight of this year's camera he got wrong. Really bad for a tech youtuber

true my iphone 8 camera was better imo
Use only 0.5 or 1x or 2x
Use higher mag will set in digital zoom and it will be grainy and dull

Thank you! I was wondering why my photos look so saturated on my iphone pro max, it was totally scene detection's fault!!!
just a quick one, has the camera filter been removed from the camera? can we only edit the filter settings from the photo section?

What is the setting to have an 'auto' smooth face picture with iPhone 12 pro max?
This is my question too
I just got the I 12 so you really helped me out. ThankQ
does 4k heat up the iphone more?
Awesome thanks!
Does most compatible for photos take better pictures than high efficiency?

@@trix1227 yeah I kinda noticed most compatible for pictures is slightly sharper also especially when looking at face eyelashes etc thanks 🙏
When I make a video with my iPhone 12 pro max and review it . It seems very grainy and very not HD. It’s on 4K and it looks 720p
Try getting better lighting, if it is dark the iPhone 12 won’t have great quality.
@@maddie9226 what about LIDAR. I thought its for low light condition.
I heard Software updates have can an effect on the camera and make it look grainy so it could be software
After the recent software update, the video quality on my iPhone 12pro changed. It’s no longer clear and colorful.
Thanks for the info!
Premier Pro supports it also it is drag and drop now . Awesome video ty
