- Thanks to @PewDiePie 's recent video of his journey to spend 100 days drawing, I undertook my own journey to see how far I could go. Through that process, I found a reignited passion for art, I reminded myself of a few key lessons about life, and more important than anything else, I had a heckin' good time. Come check out what 30 days of drawing progress looked like for me!

Very seldomly the youtube algorithm does it's thing and recommends a 400 sub channel that really speaks to you, thanks for telling me what I needed to hear. Your videos are great
This TRULY means the world for me to read.💜 Welcome to the channel, and I'm so glad that the message resonated with you. Stick around!
This. This is what it means to be an artist. You might be born with a love for drawing but you only get good when you pursue it. Glad non artists are becoming something they thought they never were.
This means the world to me to read. I agree! It's been one of the most valuable experiences I've had in recent memory and it's something I anticipate pursuing for a loooooong time now.
@@JordanQuinn94 Glad to hear!
It's crazy how much faster you got at this, and I'm reminded of how that really happens in every discipline, including BJJ, bikes, coding, and even video editing. I'm reminded of a quote by Angela Duckworth in her book Grit (get it and read or listen if you haven't already!): "as much as talent counts, effort counts twice."
10000000%. I appreciate you dude. I've learned so much from you specifically in regards to that!
This is really incredible, your improvement is really inspiring. I've been drawing for years but I often forget that its supposed to be fun. i know i haven't been in that flow state "the rabbit hole" in a while. I want to change that, thank you. I hope your having a good day, and a good time with your art.
Thank you SO much for the kind words and for taking the time to watch the video. (: I think it's important to remember that we make art because it's fun and meaningful. It's important to have goals and to want to get better at something, but not at the cost of why we love it in the first place. Best of luck in finding the fun in it again!
Hey, I'm an artist and i've been having problems with lack of motivation recently, but this video really helped me pick up the pencil again :) wishing nothing but the best for you in your own journey
I can’t even begin to tell you how much this means to me to read. Happy to be of any help, no matter how small 💙 the world needs your art!
Honestly, getting away from things with algorithms has been a godsend in and of itself. They are addictive by design and so fuck up your dopamine system which reduces satisfaction from normal things in life (like all addictions you just feel meh when giving into them but bad when not). Obviously I still use them from time to time but like I'll watch a video on YT over lunch. But the human mind is amazingly adaptable, which is a bit of a double edged sword. Thankfully if you get off social media it only takes a few days for your dopamine system to reset. But the craving, the temptation, to open social media hangs around a lot longer.
Truth! I’ve been on and off all of these platforms many times over the years and the main thing I’ve learned is that how/when you use them is the most important thing. They aren’t inherently bad or evil, but they can absolutely become that once our relationship to them becomes out of control.
it takes 2 years or more when you leave real drugs.
not a month, not 2.
sometimes a decade for the worst one depending your times on it.
this is why it's so deletorious.
interesting outcome . i have to say something about the idea of someone paying attention to something you made sounds like it is live affirming in a world that lacks connection :) hope my English is understandable .... if you feel stuck with anything just try to watch a ethan Becker art tutorial. ethan is a animator so he knows alot of tricks to simply everything .
learning from animators or manga/comic book artist is fun because they know to simply the world and they know how to do it fast too :3
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and for the kind words 💙 and the great advice! Your English is great. It’s definitely life affirming to have an outlet for your attention.
he doesn't know what he signed up for.
I will be waiting for that art block in 5 months 🤣
this was such a positive and up lifting video. I'd love to see you start to work with line weight. I think your art will take on an incredible change!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I have SO much to learn and line weight is definitely a huge one. I’m looking forward to getting better with time!
