Who is Nelson please? It should be Frank Norman, whom brought Sam Tyler back to his time, doing his operation. Though he wasn't a good man, trying to lead Sam astray, getting Sam to cover for him, letting him get Gene shot, because he thought wrongly that Gene Hunt was secretly a bent copper.

Deep down Ray is just one big teddy bear, I love the way he says "It's okay, I'm here" I thought that was really sweet!!! And I still don't understand why Chris hasn't gotten his LOM moment or seen stars.

Always loved how Shaz & Ray comfort each other a lot throughout the finale season. Given how 1 & 2 they acted like they hated each other but in reality they were just brother and sister squabbling
The fact that Ray is creeped is karma for treating Sam like he was some psycho for me.
I think that because Chris hasn't had his LOM moment, he can't hear the noises, and is not welcome at the Railway Arms like Ray and Shaz now are since they passed their tests, but Chris failed his. I think the Railway Arms is much more than a bar, It might even be heaven. I think that if they had opened the door and Chris hadn't interrupted, they would have found themselves in the bar with Nelson and maybe Sam Tyler and Annie would have been there too. Now that would have been cool.
Chris didn't fail though. He stood up to Gene in the end even though turns out Gene was an angel but forgot he died too. He went through to heaven (railway arms) with Shaz then Ray followed, then Alex in the last episode.
It's breaking my heart to see the team being separated like this! :(
OMG it DID sound like Nelson from LOM! wow, I cant wait till friday now!
I don't necessarily ship Ray and Shaz, but their relationship has been a lot of fun to watch play out this series. It's like they finally realize this great friendship (More? debatable?) and are making up for lost time, conveniently bonding over odd circumstances.
Even as a big MASSIVE Galex fan, I found this clip to be better than the 'Are Gene and Alex going on a date?'! Well, I'm more intreeged and hyper over this clip than the Galex clip. AHHH! VOICES STARS! All so damn exciting!!!
To all those who say Ray and Shaz should be together, NO!!!! Ray doesn't do relationships and Chris and Shaz work well together!

According to my personal opinion: The only thing I didn't like very much about the "Life on Mars" and "Ash to Ashes" series were two things: 1) In Spain they were broadcast very late and 2) Only "Life on Mars" was seen " (complete) and "Ash to Ashes" (the first part)... I ask and demand that the programming entities broadcast it IN COMPLETE AND AT A REASONABLE SCHEDULE.

@bleedblck i agree, it may seem strange but i think ray is a whole new different person in this series and i quite like the idea of Raz (sorry Chraz fans)
Shaz and Chris are cute but I love Ray and Shaz' friendship.

Oooohhh..can't wait till Friday! :) I'm trying to work out what role Nelson has to play here..I always thought there was something a little sinister about him. Poor Chris, I really hope he understands the truth.
The layers being slowly peeled away as the group start to find their way to where the are meant to be...the voices were 'The Pub' and the Barman Nelson. In truth we all fear 'closing time' and that final 'Bell'. See you down the pub one day

This is where a superb show started to fall apart. This could have been so much better in regards to explaining all. Failing that, just better to have left us guessing and leaving the door open to the possibility of another series.
Life on Mars and Ashes(up till they started explaining all) were both brilliant and a breath of fresh air to TV entertainments stale formats.
Can anyone hear what Nelson is saying? (If it is Nelson)

Gene is like the angel who brings dead coppers to his world to finish what they need finishing. Keats is the devil who is try to bring all those coppers down to hell with him like he tried with Ray, Chris and shaz and Alex. Once their ready to leave gene world all those coppers go to heaven which the pub Nelson owns so gene leads them to heaven in the end
