This NEW Walking Dead Show Will Save EVERYTHING! The Walking Dead Adaption Spin-off STILL Possible

- Over the years there's been many different reasons people have had for why they stopped watching The Walking Dead. Like when Glenn, Carl and Rick Grimes left the show. However after all these things the main show did with having these characters miss out on such amazing parts of the story, there remains one amazing way to not just reverse it but give people the best of both worlds. After the success of Robert Kirkman's Invincible adaption, I think an animated series more accurately adapting the comics could give us Glenn, Carl and Rick Grimes in the parts of the story they missed! Best of both worlds. Right some wrongs.
With The Walking Dead spin-off shows still going with Daryl Dixon The Book of Carol starting in the Summer and many more, I still want both universes to continue. We could simply have 2 universes co-existing and continuing with The Ones Who Live.
This would also be an incredible opportunity to have Clementine from the Telltale games The Walking Dead series to finally crossover into the main show's story comic counterpart group.

AMC made Pantheon and that show was GREAT, they can definitely make good animated content with the right team, they just need to market it properly and keep Scott Gimple far away, which I doubt they would do LOL

I'd say both, the season 7 premiere saw the biggest drop in viewership ever, but the whole fanbase pretty much agrees that killing carl was the dumbest decision in TWD history.
An animated adaptation of the comics would be awesome. Especially if they could bring in characters from the telltale games. Great video 😁👏

I like the comic’s handling of everything after the lineup, with Negan. I feel the show was mostly superior from seasons 1-6.
If Rick stayed on the show they did less filler arcs and they changed the ending of the comic it would have been perfect

Having the comics be animated would be so amazing. A new cast of voice actors should definitely be present. Leave amc people alone. Start fresh. Let Kirkman go to work with the animated series. It would be so amazing and I would absolutely love to see it. He will get his rights back. I know he will. The day he does. A masterpiece will be born.

The idea sounds great in the right hands. I love the comics especially the early issue. It’s noticeably darker than the tv show. It could be cool to show that story in a form more adaptable than live action. A winter section would be especially cool. I never felt amc waking dead universe utilized the winter setting other than that one episode in s9 of the main show and a couple episodes at the end of s11. Though I’d prefer a comic universe game adaptation to an animated show. It could still end up with the accurate story to the comics like telltale did with the illusion of choice.😅

I would love it! A one to one adaptation of the comics with the way the characters were in the comics, plus different times of year would be awesome. But they have to keep the gore and brutality of the comics
Robert kirkman has said he would like to, but AMC has rights to the brand and they need to give him back the rights so that he has the freedom for this kind of content
If they redo the stories, I hope that Abraham gets to live. He was too funny and badass, when he died so did a part of me.

Aight, so it wasn’t just me when I first watched that particular episode
If they just animated it to be similar to the series without core characters dying I would consider the new show canon.
Well, I would like to see an animated series of the Walking dead, but if will be following more a comic story, I would like to make some changes:
1. Do not kill Amy in the forst season. Really, we killed her like in the comics, and in the main show. We never get a chance to know her better, and see how she gonna survive in more seasons of the show.
2. Do not chop Ricks hands. Well we did it too, in his and Michonne's solo show, but can there be a one place, where's he gonna be with both hands?
3. Delete Tyrese's dylema between Carol and Michonne. We all know that love is a dangerous thing, especially in the apocalypse. If you read the comics, you knew why.
4. Delete the plot, where Thomas killed two girls. Even for me is was brutal. I didn't want their death so quick. If anyone agree with me, like.
5. Delete Andrea and Dale's love relationship. Seriously, she's like 20 years old, and he's a 60 years old man. It's make me sick.
6. And make Governor less sadistic and psychotic. In main show, he had a little bit of humanity. And in the comics, he was a psychopath, pedophilic mad man.
7. And the last thing, which creators probably didn't make- let both Rick and Carl alive. I was upset, when Rick died. I didn't wanted him dead, he deserves to live longer, and see his granddaughter. And that's does not mean, that we can kill Sebastian here too.

Im also obsessed with Telltales TWD game. It has a superior story, and characters. Lee, Clementine, and Kenny are absolute GOATS!
What If scenarios:
- what if Lee didn't get in the car crash, and safely arrived to the prision
- what if Glenn stayed with Lee's group and didn't leave to go to Atlanta (or what if Lee and Clem went with Glenn?)
- what if Lee didn't get bitten, and was able to make it to season 2 and possibly longer
- what if Kenny didn't die in that stupid car crash when you picked the ending to stay with him instead of Wellington

If the original characters were available to voice the animation, I'd be up for it. Never read the comics as I wanted to follow the tv show. I do think they made some serious mistakes especially killing off Dale, Glen and Carl. I expected Glen and Carl to last and was extremely disappointed when they didn't.

I think it’d be really cool to see actually.
Tbh I like the show a bit more as far as original characters go, and I’d like to see them return. They could incorporate best of both worlds, like they could make Shane live for longer, have the terminus plot point, utilize characters like Beth, Bob, and Daryl, while also have a much more sinister governor, a more in depth Tyrese, the telltale characters, use Sophia, make Carl a more likable character, hell, they could even kill Judith. The possibilities here are endless, I think it’s more about how to tie them together properly now. Also they really need to drop surprise deaths for buzz like they have in the show. Often times they are very poorly written and carry little to no impact. I understand the point is that you can die at any moment and that in real life some people will never complete their “character arcs” so to speak, but in the show it comes across as poor writing. You can kill a character before they are fully developed, but it needs to have a purpose and be executed in a way that leaves an impact. Glenn’s death was tragic but highly important to the plot, Tyrese and Beth’s death werent
I def think they should restart with a cast closer to the comics, maybe give the actors a break cause I’m sure they all need one by now lmao but it would be cool to see something more comic accurate

Why can’t they just make a walking dead game that takes place in the same universe but you have free will and can go anywhere. Within reason like I would like to see what happened in Canada 🇨🇦 or Russia. You should also be able to join the TWD crew. It should also have time passing like the cities decay over time and buildings collapse.

An animated adaptation of the comic would be really cool to see. Invincible did pretty well so there's some possibility a series based on the comic would do well. It depends on if they fix the rights.
They did bring back some of the actors from the show to reprise their roles like T-Dog, Lori, Beth, Andrews, Sophia and some others I might've missed in TWD Destinies which despite its flaws I liked that they brought back the actors to reprise their roles. Would've rather they used it to make a better game though.
I would love this but it would HAVE to be the TV actors doing the voices for the main characters, and a voice-alike in the case of Hershel. I would not care at all if it was random actors, kind of like that terrible game that recently came out. Don't do a What-If style, but if the comic-accurate animated retelling is a success, then do a TellTale accurate animated retelling of Clementine's journey, and continue on from the kids place and forget about those terrible comic books.

That winter story is kind of stupid if it's set in Atlanta. We might get two inches here once every decade or so. The snowmobile line actually pisses me off because I challenge you to even find a snowmobile in Georgia. Somebody didn't do their research. FFS we have palm trees in the southern part of the state. Only the mountains of extreme north GA (like a hundred miles from Atlanta) get any real snow and that's also rare. At least the show waited till they were in Virginia to hit them with the blizzard.

I dunno. I've never felt any emotional attachment to cartoon characters. Animation will never adequately portray human emotion like a live actor can.

If the rights go smoothly, I think Kirkman definitely would want to create a show like that. As a comic book writer, I think he would have a lot more fun with an animated show. I understand the decision to make TWD a normal TV show and I will always love the actors, but for such long shows, animated shows are of course much, much better.TWD is unfortunately one of the more extreme cases, but many shows have the problem of the quality of the writing deteriorating more and more after about 6 seasons. Which is why shows like Breaking Bad, for example, have such a good standing, even though the show is by far not my favorite show. Because of the comics, TWD obviously wasn't able to get under the 6 season limit, which is why the show would have made mistakes at some point anyway. I mean, you can see the mistakes from season 3 onwards when you look at deaths like Andrea's. But Carl is just a whole different level. Even though he was far from my favourite character, the decision to let him die was probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a show. Even the stupid writing of shows like season 8 of Game of Thrones doesn't come close to that for me.
But I would really love an animated TWD show. Such a show would fit so well into the universe and would also be much more flexible to create. Even if a voice actor doesn't want to do it, you can just replace him perfectly instead of having to kill off the entire character.

I'd rather have the tvs show actors play cameo roles instead of the main characters if we're going for a comic accurate adapation it doesn't make any sense to keep the same actors for every character when they're completely different people from the comic to show.

I stopped watching when they killed Carl off I really wanted to see Carl become a leader it's what I always dreamed of in the show I really wanted the best for Carl since I've watched him from season 1 and as seasons went on I loved his character development I love his character in season 7 and 8 I wish he was there in season 9, 10 and 11

Season 7 wasn’t bad and the show in general didn’t become bad because Glenn died, it was just depressing as hell. People hate it when they see their protagonists loose and season 7s first half was just that, miserable and intolerable even with Negan and how funny Jeffrey Dean Morgan is I don’t think he was enough to help make it better

the walking dead comic is far superior to the show especially in regards to the later half of the series, the show overused the effect of shock value which eventually ended up killing off a sizable portion of good characters who still had incomplete story arcs, and then replace them later down the road by giving their incomplete arcs to completely new characters, to which they also kill off and make their deaths seem overly dramatic despite them barely being in the show that long, this is because the show writers have back themselves into a corner in which they now cannot kill any more fan favorite characters as it would completely bury the show, but with no more core characters dying they feel invincible to anything that would be considered life threatening which completely removes the high stakes of any arc because there's no chance that the characters you actually like will perish as the show now relies on them too heavily.
There's a certain point in the comics where certain characters begin to truly flourish and display amazing character growth with amazing character arc's to help that, but at this point in the show the characters that receive these arc's are already absent and replaced by inferior characters, so instead these huge arc's are given to these new characters that we barely care for, or these arc's are just given to completely different characters in general, making them feel less fluent.
its sad to see the AMC's the walking dead has become less of a survival show and became more of an action show with invincible characters who cant die, i just hope this true adaptation can become a reality so i can actually feel satisfied with some walking dead media that isn't limited by being a book.

The Walking Dead should have had 5 or 6 seasons at most, with a coherent and overarching storyline, that is my opinion. I am a major fan of TWD, but I feel saddened with how the show ended.

I would watch a series telling the story of The Saviors from the start of the apocalypse, but anymore of the original survivors is just too much retread on a series that went on for too long.

sir your take is terrible, your acting as though there aren't characters who exist solely within the comics that help the world to feel more vibrant and fresh, characters that breathe life into the comic series well past the point of where the show began to feel dry and uninteresting. The comic is vastly different from the show, you cant seriously be bothered over the absence of Daryl and Carol when there are equally good characters in the comics that are absent from the show and departed way too early to explore their actual arcs...

@@lol-lm9np The comic and the show are roughly 50/50 in terms of which is better. There's some characters and arcs the show 100% did better with than the comics. Gabriel being a prime example. And Andrea being a prime example of what the comic did better. If they make an animated series it's gonna be tricky because they have to please both original comic fans and show fans. And I definitely think that in a potential animated series, Daryl and Carol need to be in it.
