3rd Armored Division "Spearhead" Near Stolberg, Germany; November 15, 1944

Vehicles of the 83rd Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and supporting 3rd Armored Division units move in columns in the vicinity of Mausbach (Stolberg), Germany. November 15, 1944. At this time, the 83rd Recon was patrolling the Division area, and days later would be supporting Combat Command B's drive northeast toward Hastenrath and Scherpenseel.
This footage contains a wide variety of vehicles, including M5A1 Light Tanks ("Stuart"), M8 Armored Cars ("Greyhound"), a M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage, and even a rarely seen Ford GPA "Seep" amphibious jeep.
