  • Aaron Rodgers Wrist Flick Breakdown: Quarterback Mechanics Video
    The best or most natural with the wrist is Aaron Rodgers in my opinion. This video is great in giving you the opportunity to see a variety of angles of a great wrist flick so you know what to do in order to get the most behind the football. Enjoy!

    Absolutely phenomenal breakdown of ARods wrist action. It’s something that plays a huge role in his ability on the football field and not many people understand or have even looked into such nuances in his game/ craft as a quarterback. Great video!

      No. His ability to throw is from countless hours of work and perfecting his craft. Nothing was given to him

    The “wrist flick from hell” is how certain Defensive coordinators call it.

      I feel myself pausing when I’m in the loading position before throwing. How do I fix this or am I supposed to do this?

      @@nicks6611 no pause. Wrist needs to be quicker. Also, need to understand how to create external rotation in your shoulder

    In order to throw 60 yards, what would my squat and deadlift max need to be to be strong enough

      @Performancelabofcalifornia  Před rokem +1

      Not really about how much you squat and deadlift. But how you use your body when throwing..

    Note that Rodgers was playing on only one knee. Tore a lot of things in left knee during that game.

    It’s just never really been duplicated. Maybe Vick had somewhat of a similar “flick.” But most, if not all, QBs , imo use more of their shoulder to throw and drive the ball. Then, it’s the reason we see their arms strength deteriorate over the years. Every single one of them. We saw Peyton go through this. In a way, we’re seeing it with Mahomes, I feel like his arm strength has reduced tremendously since his first two years.
    I very well could be wrong, but, this flick of the wrist is the reason why we haven’t really seen Rodgers’ arm strength decline as quickly as others’.

    What does “getting on top of the football” mean?

    • @Performancelabofcalifornia
      @Performancelabofcalifornia  Před rokem +1

      It is referring to the hand position. Concept to help prevent the hand from being "underneath" the football at release
